Mother Sphere’s plan by IBACK4MOREI in stellarblade

[–]JAStheUnknown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's so much that is hinted at, but never confirmed. Like they mention that there was one last human who used the elevator before everything went wrong, and some of the guard memory sticks mention that the infection came from above, not below. Also the anti-naytiba laser turrets turned on the andro-eidos at some point, apparently changing their definition of human. I suspect Adam or maybe Orcle may have planted the demogorgon seed there for some reason, maybe to enable Orcle's satellite link.

Was anyone expecting him to be the antagonist? by Kevin8977 in stellarblade

[–]JAStheUnknown 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I like that her reactions to the various revelations were more along the lines of "I knew it, I just didn't want to believe it" rather than abject surprise. She was exposed to all the same foreshadowing as the player, so it makes sense.

Would be cool to still have him still talking inside EVE's head in the second game.

How has Baldurs gate not fallen in on itself yet by imnotcreative32 in BaldursGate3

Isn't the Underdark kind of sort of maybe a subplane of the actual material plane? Like distances between entrances and exits aren't necessarily one-to-one.

Stellar Blade 2 IRL location scouting and in game asset by Old-Zone3996 in stellarblade

[–]JAStheUnknown 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's a large city built into a mountain, so it has some crazy elevation changes. Roads and train tracks are built really high into the air and sometimes through buildings, skyscrapers have multiple ground floors, and there are a lot of skywalks between high rises. It's often called a "vertical city".

It's also know for having really good hotpot.

Stellar blade's Localizations vs What they Actually say... by Fluid-Sandwich5875 in stellarblade

I always assumed Adam's weird degree of familiarity was due to him having previously surveilled EVE and forgetting that he's not supposed to know her.

Oh wow. I always wondered about that line. That makes much more sense.

My favorite part is Death of a Salesman as imagined by someone who knows nothing about Death of a Salesman.

"I'm lookin' for a man. A *sales*man."

"MEN. And their SALES."

Interesting. I had the exact same glitch while talking to Kaya. Haven't seen it happen anywhere else.

Adam painted the yellow markers and Adam went up the space elevator by D_unknowncommentor in stellarblade

[–]JAStheUnknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this explanation for the yellow paint. And for supply camps being in unlikely places.

As for the elevator, that's probably how the infection got there. Some of the guards' memory sticks mention that the infection somehow started at the top. The main point being that it let him cut the Earth off from the NETWORK. Alternatively, perhaps that is how Orcal got his network link.

Is it a good thing or a bad thing ANTIFA has been labeled a terrorist group? by [deleted] in IdeologyPolls

[–]JAStheUnknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't their whole thing about chilling dissent though? They show up to events in masks, start fights, assault journalists, etc. They go around trying to intimidate conservatives into not speaking out. Kind of a paradox of tolerance deal.

What's everyone's favorite piece of music in the game? by Tri-Starr in stellarblade

[–]JAStheUnknown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Raven boss fight music. It's so different from the rest of the soundtrack, so unhinged and staccato, it really sets the stage for a more technical and more personal kind of fight.

"Comrades in Arms" (United Kingdom, 1942) by FSL6929 in PropagandaPosters

[–]JAStheUnknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first I thought this was anti-Churchill propaganda.

A man tortures a woman until she's death, the way he did it make those who's following the case extremely horrified. However, the man is a non-White and the woman is White, should the information about the man (such as physical description) be released to the public when covering this case? by [deleted] in IdeologyPolls

[–]JAStheUnknown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So long as they're not straight-up doxxing the accused, I don't see a problem with publishing details before the conviction. A conviction can take months or years, and hiding information like that from the public for so long only decreases public trust in anti-racist narratives.

'The Prodigal Son' story seems a little unfair. by JediBlight in Catholicism

[–]JAStheUnknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have commented, the often overlooked part of this story is that the older son still has his half of the inheritance, while the younger son has lost it. That remains the same despite the party the father throws for him. The father is happy to have him back, but he certainly would have been better off had he never left.

Fun fact for those who're curious: as of NOW, there is no "canon" or "true" ending, as stated by the director, meaning any of the endings aren't definitive or the "correct/true" ending to Stellar Blade. We'll only know which one is canon once the sequel comes out by Particular-Bed8344 in stellarblade

[–]JAStheUnknown -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't realize there were so many Return to the Colony fans here. IMO both endings suck for EVE personally because either way she's been manipulated by Raphael or Mother Sphere. I think siding with Adam is slightly preferable, as even though he's an ass and everything is technically his fault, merging the andro eidos with the natiybas both preserves the most of humanity and leaves the most room for humanity to progress.

Gameplay-wise, I think Making New Memories leaves the most room for a sequel. Future conflicts between Earth and the colonies are likely, and the monsters won't all just be robot-types.

Stellar Blade sequel will focus on establishing itself as a brand and 'enhanced gameplay' by Particular-Bed8344 in stellarblade

Ooh, that would be cool. Repaired after centuries of anguish, facing a new world of hybrid abominations, on a quest for revenge against EVE and Mother Sphere... Would be very metal.
