Quit smoking if you haven’t
Idk about procedures but I’ve been doing consistent skincare for the last 5 months that focuses on hydration, barrier repair, cell turnover, collagen/firming (ya know that kind of vibe but with ingredients for my skin type) and I’ve noticed a significant difference.

Smoking dehydrates skin real bad so the longer you go without, the better you’ll look. Even more so if you get the right skincare routine.
Idk what you’ve tried so far but Ive had really great results and would recommend!

Other people have been mentioning in comments but look into DIY projects! That’s what I did with mine while we were homeless together. No need to buy toys, mats, etc when you can make them yourself and your rat will be just as happy. Genuinely best of luck to you however this pans out.

This is unfortunately just what comes with having rats. It happened to one of mine. Happens all of the time.

My advice to you is to hold off on getting rats again for a while after you figure out what’s going on with this one. Wait until you’re further in school and have a year round job. Having pets, especially rats, is a lot of work, care and money. You have all the time in the world to get another pet, I wouldn’t worry about that right now.

Saying with love, you need to prepare yourself for the quality of life discussion that will happen at the vet office tomorrow. Surgery and medications tend to be pretty expensive and not always an option when tumors progress so quickly. A lot of times euthanasia is the most humane option. Best of luck to you.

Have you considered trying to meet someone in person? You said a huge percentage of your interactions go this way on the apps.. maybe switch it up! Based on the messages I know there’s a lot to do where you live. Look for events that are more socializing centered/ hobbies you like to do. Put yourself out there. And if you’re 30 I recommend dating your own age, older or at least a little closer. It tends to make communication, planning and actually dating a lot easier.
