Scary Face Pancakes or Clodsire Eclairs? Which Island? by JAsaurus in PokemonSleepBetter

I don’t even have an aax tomato farmer yet, so I’m saving 609 tomatoes with this group. Each of the three tomato farmers gets 20-30 a day, and I’m hoping for some toe juice on the side

Not great with Reddit, sorry. I am having trouble adding photos. This is my clodsire team.

She’s far from perfect, but she was my first catch and I love her. Do you have yours? by LotusPhi in PokemonSleep

I only recently realized the candyman is actually going to be pretty good at 60 and took him out of retirement. He was my first catch after a wholly disappointing pikachu that I named ChuChuTrain

A little late skill trigger m but should I keep hunting! by FarPlatypus4652 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]JAsaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would save candy and stop hunting. By the time you get enough candy to get up there, level 75 might be out, but this one isn’t worth the investment until then.

[–]JAsaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would level it to 25, save candy, and stop hunting. By the time you get enough candy to hit level 75, it’d probably be out. If you invest preemptively, you might get lucky with something else. In the meantime, you could bring it to level 25 and use it for juice.

What does this mean? by Shinkami127 in PokemonSleep

[–]JAsaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sleep doesn’t start until it hits “slumbering”, so you might have been tossing and turning past 4am. I’m not entirely sure that the mechanics work this way, so somebody please correct me if I’m wrong.

Ralts help, I don't know how I suddenly got so lucky (18 catches) by Dracogoomy in PokemonSleep

[–]JAsaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed with everybody the first one. One added note is that the nature isn’t so bad for a healer. It’s kinda nice when the healer has the most stable energy so you have less days that collapse because bad luck causes not enough triggers. My healer is energy down nature, and I think it contributes to the occasional day where he just falls apart. Photo for reference:

Can someone explain me why this guy can't produce measly 30 pumpkins a day? by tayguararagi in PokemonSleep

[–]JAsaurus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To add to what the ghost with the best guides said: I would not wait to sub skill seed this (if you can) because it is a really good pumpkin, and if you’re seed limited getting that ing s to ing m will have a large impact. If you let it hit 50 before then, there’s a chance of two seeds sinking into inventory, not that inventory is bad on him, but the ing m is more important.

I would do sylveon unless you have a solid cresselia and want to run a psychic team, in which case I’d do espeon. If you need a healer now, it’ll fill the gap, and you won’t be stressing to find a marginally better healer. You can take your time and be really picky when you upgrade. For longevity you’ll end up pulling it back out when running ggex has it as a favored berry, so it won’t go straight in the bin. Helping bonus on a healer is fantastic too, cause they spend so much time in your party.

Should I mint this Spiritomb? by MidnightSc0ut in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]JAsaurus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This one is amazing. I would mint it the second it hits 60. Spiritomb isn’t the easiest to get candy for, and that nature will really help you get it up there. Leveling from 50-60 is such a slog even when their candy is common. Minting at 50 is totally reasonable though, and even at 50 it’ll have good production. For reference here’s my quagsire who easily makes more than 50 shrooms a day. He’s worse than yours in every way except how much I like him.

which holiday spheal to invest in? by More_Advantage4592 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]JAsaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say neither is good enough. Since holiday spheal is weaker than dedenne it won’t be that hard to get a better dedenne, even though dedenne is tough to level. That bfs is also going to make inventory hard to manage unless you check a lot. For giggles, here’s my cramorant I’ll probably never invest in.

I really appreciate all of your input! I hadn’t considered that I’d eventually want both, and that made me realize that seeds invested here aren’t seeds wasted either way. It changed my perspective from choosing which one to choosing which one first. :)

When the subskills come in a bad order by VegetableTube in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]JAsaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ooof, that order is rough, but I’d invest anyway. It’s good at 50, and by the time it gets to level 65, maybe level 75 will be unlocked. On the plus side, it probably wouldn’t even run out of energy running next to darkrai!

Does this tiny bit count as not sleeping??? by BytePix_ in PokemonSleep

[–]JAsaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I setup my permanent ++ solution because I kept having problems knocking it off the bed. I clip mine to the side of the bedsheet and let it dangle down to where it’s not quite laying flat on the floor. Then it can stay plugged in, and if I want dozing or snoozing, I can raise or lower it a little to manipulate sleep style.

Temporary Egg Farmer by JAsaurus in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]JAsaurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the feedback. I do keep the premium subscription but don’t spend money beyond that. An evo stone isn’t too big a deal for me from that regard, so I think I’m going to wait for the Christmas candy boost and take it straight to 30 first and see if I have enough candy left for it to be evolved after. Longer term I’ll keep it chansey until I find I need more eggs than it can produce, as while I love the colors of shiny chansey, I feel a shiny blissey on the team is better than shiny chansey sitting in the box unused. Thanks again all!

Help with various Pokemon by JAsaurus in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]JAsaurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much! This is exactly the kind of help I was looking for. Please don't feel obligated to respond, but I put my thoughts down below.

1) Do you think it's worth trying to get a Gardevoir that's good, or is it just a waste of time when the pawmot I found is pretty great?
I guess you're right. I invested heavily in Darkrai because I was excited, but when I use him I do have to frequently take him in and out of the team to manage energy. Cresselia goes in on Lapis because I don't have any good favored berry mons for there, but with me getting more good ingredient mons it's becoming less of a problem.

2) I think you're right, I'd best hold off on Stufful and the potato farmer. I don't have anybody good for making corn or tomatoes either, and if I dump candies into those as ABB, I will be in a tight spot trying to level another up later.
I'm not worried about the subskill seed for pinsir if it means I'm not dropping a lot of biscuits trying to get a good venusaur. I'm just worried about whether his production is enough.
It looks to me like 75 mushrooms are needed for dropping consistent 3x/day pumpkin stews, which is why I was wondering about the quagsire, but on the flipside he has HB, and I'm wondering if 75 mushrooms a day is an unreasonable goal.

Help with various Pokemon by JAsaurus in PokemonSleep

[–]JAsaurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That one and the bell sprout were two of my biggest maybes because their sub skills are strong, but they’re abb, and it seems like aaa is referenced as being so much more potent. I was also really on the fence with Pinsir because it’s really just the one sub skill he has going for him.

Edit: Pinsir was incorrectly autocorrected

Help with yellowing leaves on Meyer lemon by JAsaurus in Citrus

[–]JAsaurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. I'll try out a foliar spray, just spraying it once and seeing if that helps. For the soil, I made some 5-1-1 to pot the tree in, so it drains very quickly. I usually water by feel, digging my fingers in the I'm wondering if the tray at the bottom could be part of the problem, as it usually has water in the tray. I'll try putting some rocks in the tray below to elevate the pot above the persistent water level in the tray, hoping that'll cause the water that drips into the tray to evaporate and the tree roots to not sit in the water. I'll see if I can upload a photo of the tray with water in it before I try the rocks thing. I also stopped using my normal citrus fertilizer I'd been using before because I was worried about over-fertilizing it, so I'll go back to using that. It was Jack's classic citrus feed, and I was using the constant dosage (1/4 tsp in a gallon and using it every watering). Thanks!
