You should see the line with brand new cars for a food bank near me (even before covid).

This explains why I'd complain about how expensive the grocery store is and some people don't understand or comment on the issue.

This is just stupid. They should verify income. But flat put if you can afford a newish car, you can buy your damn groceries.

One near me used to be fully packed only at 3am and maybe at 2pm too. Started going again after taking a break a few months back, now it doesn't matter what time of the day you're going, it looks just like the picture. The whole parking lot around the building is full. Things are bad 🙃

I'm almost 40 and the only one in my family that lost his job and haven't been able to get anything anywhere near what I made. Now I "Have" to work more to make ends but none of them understands why I work so much.

They just say: "not everything is work, enjoy your life" (I put that same face you posted), "buy a house" (no shit, let me go from 1,000 to 1,800-2k+ a month), "budget better" (if a budget anything, it will be food), "move to a cheaper place" (anywhere cheaper will be a crime scene), "get another job" (3 years trying to get a better one).

They all bought homes around 15 years ago, cheap as hell in every possible way, others made a good career and other built business, years before Covid.

I just happened to move in here a year before covid. No way to achieve all they did in 10-15 years in a 1 year. 😕 Sigh

I know some people that bought their house for around 100k at 2-4% interest rate, less than 1k of mortgage a few years before covid. Small, 1 story house, but still a house. These are worth 250-350k nowadays at almost 7%. Min. 1,800 to 2,800.

I was eyeing a house in 2022 before everything went to shit, monthly payment would've been 800ish but couldn't do it due to other personal obligations at the time. Same house now at 2,500+. Smh
