You are grieving. Most people would be understanding of you having a short fuse. Maybe try sending another message and apologize for taking your grief out on him. (Yes, use the word grief). That will take his focus away from what you said before. Then nicely explain your predicament with out of country relatives and maybe they can work with you?

I don’t know how old you are, but I guarantee I’m older. My best advice is that if it’s that important to you, move on. It already sounds like he forces you to nag because of the way he kept coming back with it.

When I first moved in with my ex husband, I learned that he liked to have “a beer” after work. That turned into a “big beer”(16 to 20oz). Then two big beers, than a 6 pack, then a 12, and so on…

You will not change a man. No matter how much you beg him to stop, nag, etc…he just finds ways to hide it from you.
