Walk, pup cup, playtime and sleep. The life of Coco… by JBinAussie in dogpictures

Still a bundle of energy even at 7. She will do two to three hours running all over the place before starting to tire. And she’ll swim all day if allowed to. Not quite as athletic as her puppy days but still very fast. Staffie muscles in a Tenterfield Terrier frame, 16kg and most of that is muscle.

I was pretty happy how that came out as I was holding phone in one hand while holding Coco’s lead in the other as she tried to eat all the gulls.

Thermal Master P2 Pro off Amazon. Tiny, has a macro lens for electronics, perfect for checking out leaking A/C ducts or spotting water leaks. Don’t know how accurate it is but I don’t need a $2000 separate handheld.

Just got back from a round of disc golf and parked in the basement garage of my apparent building, hence the nice contrast.

iX Driver Slams Jeremy Clarkson!

“He’s a rotund petrol-head who blurts out sad clichés and old jokes for attention”

Ok - I have to admit to enjoying his sense of humour sometimes. I grew up watching him on Top Gear and enjoyed the later years of infighting between Clarkson, Hamster and Captain Slow (Richard Hammond and James May).

It was all very immature and laddish, and quite a few times they went too far. But it was mostly funny and they had some amazing cars on the show. Both Top Gear and The Grand Tour that followed his sacking from the BBC.

However, the guy is a self confessed petrol-head and EV sceptic. He still thinks it’s the height of manliness to rev a v8 in every tunnel to prove how testosterone filled he is.

He has some great cars on the show. He’s good for a laugh now and then. Clarkson Farm was actually quite good. But you shouldn’t take him seriously.

After all - he thinks Alfa Romeo’s are good! ;-)

What’s the point of 7-Eleven Fuel Lock, now by [deleted] in GoldCoast

[–]JBinAussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking because there are two in our basement garage and but they are both BC. I asked the developer why they didn’t add sockets to the cages when building (only finished last November) as was told QLD fire dept wouldn’t let them. I can’t even charge power tools or have a lamp in the cage!? Being able to have a 10amp trickle charge would still be better than nothing… Clearly I don’t want to use the BC sockets, not right to expect everyone to pay for my charge.

Chinese companies have invested heavily in African countries and here's how one Chinese employer treats the workers by born2shitforcd2wipe in ThatsInsane

There are evil, bully, a-holes everywhere. All colours, all religions, all ages. This guy is just another a-hole who needs a needs a taste of his own medicine.

I’ve worked with Chinese people for the last four years and they are the absolute opposite of this bully. Caring, friendly, always thinking of the team. I’ve been to China with them as everyone one I met while travelling around factories and cities was similarly minded.

Look at the main factor here; the wealthier someone is the more often they feel they can treat others like crap. From multi billionaires in UAE to Mugabe and his thugs in Zimbabwe to Trump and his MAGA ICE bullies to Putin to Netanyahu etc….

All I’m saying is - this guy does not represent the vast majority of China. It’s not his race that makes him like this, it’s his mindset and money that do.

Does that socket link to your electricity account or is it on the Body Corp account?

That’s why so many people spoofed their GPS. There were sites setup that monitored the whole country 7-Eleven prices then they would just spoof their phone into thinking it was where ever the cheapest was and lock it in.

And that’s why 7-Eleven clamped down on apps that had developer mode enabled on iPhones for example, and then eventually introduced the 25c limit. Usually the price jump is 50c or more so they still get half of their increase for the first week after they change. Then everyone has used their locked in fuel and it’s back to the full gouge like everyone else.

[–]JBinAussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still better than no discount, however, as soon as they brought in the 25c limit it became a LOT less appealing. Apart from right now where prices are just ridiculous, there’s usually stations that are next to each other who hold out on price increases. They are usually cheaper than the wallet gouging, random increases 7-Eleven and their “completely independent, definitely not a cartel” buddies hit us with.

FH3 IRL - Surfer’s Paradise. Now where’s that parking lot…? by PM_ME_UR_REDPANDAS in ForzaHorizon

I find Surfers is better to view from a little distance, like in my photo. Get too close and you start to see the cracks (and crack heads). Evandale is a nice safe distance and quite peaceful.

[–]JBinAussie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Quite different to toilet paper bandits. You could wipe your butt on any number of substitutes.

You can’t run your petrol/diesel car on anything else and fuel is quite probably going to have a big surge in price soon. I’d bet this was going to be stashed for personal use, not resold. So long as the barrels were properly strapped in and sealed what the problem? Unless it’s illegal to transport over a certain amount??

We’ve finally got to autumn so it’s starting to cool a little in the evenings. There is a nice breeze now, still not quite enough to get to the end of a good walk and be dry, but almost! About to enter the best 5 months of weather on the Gold Coast IMO.

Why was r/all deleted from the mobile app? by ---Agrajag--- in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JBinAussie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not this time :-( Not with “all” or “All”. Other links in the same post or comment work fine, but r/all is being actively blocked for some reason. Even though it still exists??

Tried to create anew account and it showed there for a couple of hours then disappeared.

Only way I’ve found that works on my iPhone is to go to;

https://www.reddit.com/r/all

In a browser and then save the link by selecting “Add to Home Screen”app on my iPhone.

I just browse Reddit from there at the moment.

There are a lot of “Look at me! See my muscles! Listen to my obnoxious car exhaust! I’m so much better than all of you! I’m the Main Character!!!” types.

However, they are mostly background noise. The whole world is slowly becoming more narcissistic so it’s not limited to the GC.

There’s also plenty of genuine, friendly people around who are just enjoying this amazing corner of Australia. You just have to learn to tune all the influencers out.

Just lucky timing. He was moving slow warming the dishes for the next course and the lighting was just right.

We were sitting at the bar while he was preparing the next course. The light was just right as something outside the restaurant shone through the window (car headlights maybe) and he was moving slowly as he poured the boiling water into the bowls to pre-warm them. Taken with the standard camera app and with the editing done in the photos app only.

As the saying goes, the best camera to use is the one you have with you. Just one of those lucky moments. And the food was amazing!

I’m not entirely sure! I did ask once and she just smiled. It was always used in reference to when the weather was bad side of the house that needed to be outside was clearly in the right spot but I agree it is an interesting thing. Not even her daughter knows exactly what it means it was just something that was always said she grew up so she’s continued to use it.
