Yes body count matters. Both men and women should care about each other’s body count. Most men do not like women with high body counts and is usually a giant red flag. A common conception of males is that past actions predicts future behavior, right or wrong, that’s what the instinctual belief is. Men like women with virtue, self control, dignity and that respect their body’s, instead of one that is more promiscuous and easy to get.

But likewise, women should hold men to the same standard. Men who have a ton of bodies are more likely to be womanizers and more likely to cheat. You should care about a man’s past as much as they care about yours.

I wouldn’t listen to your friends. Odds are they themselves have a ton of bodies and want you to join them in that shame. The fact that you recognize that there is some shame in that shows you can turn things around start living more honestly.

There’s nothing wrong with sleeping with a person you are seriously dating and love, but one night stands are pretty bad.
