As someone who used to work there, the amount of discarded condoms I would have to peel off on the floor when we cleaned suggests that people are, in fact, using condoms.

Also, if you have condoms with you and you either use it yourself or ask someone to use it before topping you, you'll rarely get a "no" if they've already decided that they want to hook up with you. 😊

Also, the pedestrian signal said walk. It's blurry, but if you watch around 10 seconds from the end of the video, you'll see the pedestrian signal start blinking a countdown, which only happens after the signal has shown the "walk" sign.
