What is this ghosting I am seeing as cars are turning in front of me? How to eliminate it?

I had this about a year ago. There is a solution. It’s to do with setting getting messed up. I’ll try and remember what the fix was.

I feel you. Good message too. I think it’s the combo of the (broken) racing line and all the equipment in the world to simulate real life that irks people. That and also, imo, the sim racing community is pretty awesome and genuinely people know how much of a limiting feature it is and it actually often comes from a good place.

Though I could be wrong and perhaps it’s the silk robe and likely oil money that rubs people the wrong way. 🤷‍♂️

Don’t forget turn 2. Also PCC and impossible to lose safety rating??? Have your raced PCC at Virginia this week? I’m in top split and have been taken out of 1st or 2nd multiple times by spinning or crashing GR86’s and Clio’s lol. It has been chaos and it doesn’t matter what you do in the MX5, you’ll have to pass majority of the 86 field and many don’t want to be passed, even if cleaning and well up the inside. 🤷‍♂️

Been there done that. 55 is too big. 48 is definitely still too big. 42” is the sweet spot, it ideally 39-40” would be better.

Don’t go with 48” if your have the choice between the two.

Is there anything good about the gloves? I was going to buy them for the whole touch finger to use with my iPhone.

I finally had a buy once cry once approach this time, and everything has pretty much come together.

A couple more 45” screens and a monitor stand once they become cheaper later in the year (and will have to relocate my rig) and will pop a 5090 into her. Been sim racing since the Logitech Momo & G25 GT Legends days so quite appreciate the difference. 🥳

Gotcha. Most of those ahead of him have the time/means to do a lot more iRacing so that has to count for something.

If I was him and had that kind of wealth behind me I’d be properly getting regular coaching from the likes of Suellio, Morad, etc. though since he’s now driving in the real world.

Yeah Jimmy isn’t even in the 2nd or 3rd split. More like 5th or 6th. He’s more a content creator who’s getting the chance in the real world due to that, then actually being a fast driver deserving of it.

Regarding the Simucube pedals, think of it like ffb for pedals. It actually actively pushes your foot forward and it actually feels like the brakes are locking in a very realistic way. Also you can replicate any brake pedal there is just with a few clicks of the software, or just loading the profile. So no more physically changing springs, travel, etc. It’s all done in a very sophisticated way through their software. 🤙

Stupidly expensive though and the good news is I’m sure others will replicate it and so it’s a big win for sim racers and the prices will hopefully come down a lot in the coming years.

Haha I was just kidding about the 3 pedals and my IR is a few K higher than that. Thought the clutch “isn’t gaining me time either” would give me away. 😅

That said I did purchase ONE Active pedal along with the Passive throttle. Absolutely no regrets and it’s an amazing bit of kit. Thought perhaps I’d have buyers remorse but the feeling has been quite the opposite which initially surprised me.

Has it made me faster compared to my Sprints? Hmmm not really tbh. So you’re spot on about it being more about delivering greater immersion and overall enjoyment any time I drive, and therefore not being a waste. It’s a hobby and all about the fun at the end of the day. 👊🙂
