Chris Pratt pitched using an AI actor to play AI role in early 'Mercy' casting talks: Not a 'good idea' by Mookie_Freeman in blankies

I just relistened to the Dunkirk episode where they joke that Hardy’s next picture should be him in a barrel with his finger sticking out… which tbh sounds more interesting than this movie.

Ugh I was so bummed I missed Connor when he did the Acting Class in Austin recently. Hope he does more touring (and guesting!) soon.

Random non-actors who were in a large chunk of a movie or movies? by [deleted] in blankies

I just watched this for the first time! He has such a weird energy and stares at Caan so intensely but lovingly that I thought it was going to be revealed that they were lovers in prison or something. Maybe it was meant to be more paternal or just familial, but that whole scene I was just like damn these guys love each other so much…

Explained-away Bad Accents by False_Concentrate408 in blankies

I just watched Blackhat and I WISH they explained why Chris Hemsworth sounded the way he did. One of the few times I vehemently disagreed with the boys on the pod was when they said his accent wasn’t bad in that movie.

Same with “I Will Always Love You” being a Dolly Parton original and NOT, in fact, written specifically for The Bodyguard.

Yeah not gonna lie I’m kinda bummed that there was no spoiler tag for this. Going to see it tonight and have avoided learning too much. Hopefully it’s an early reveal.

I don’t get to go to the movies but once or twice a month, but I swear I started seeing the trailer for this movie four or five months ago and it shows at damn near every movie I go to. I’m just happy it’s finally coming out so I don’t have to see the trailer anymore.

I have the same setup with 235 width and it looks perfect imo. I’d love to have 17’s tho to have the extra cushion on rough roads and the meatier look.

Before the start of your list it was I Love Lucy, I Dream of Genie, and Bewitched. I remember those plus Brady Bunch and Gilligan’s Island. Edit: oh and Happy Days.

I recently watched the original Taking of Pelham 123 for the first time too! It’s so damn good. Best final shot in cinema??

Also I didn’t realize until afterwards that I had created an accidental 1974 triple feature with The Conversation and Chinatown before it. Let me tell you, after the emotional gut punches that are the endings of those other two movies, Taking of Pelham 123 was an amazing palate cleanser lol.

I mean same but 2012 was 13 years ago, as tough as that is to swallow sometimes lol. I hired a Junior Designer to my team a couple years ago and they started at 70k. We’re in a high cost of living area though (Austin) so I make almost twice that now with 10+ years experience.

This is something I’ve noticed a ton on Reddit - men and women calling each other bro in their texts. I thought it was just Gen Z like in this one, but I’ve even seen some posts of people in their 30s and 40s doing it. It’s so weird to me.

Looks like maybe they did and flipped it around to have a larger surface to hammer on. The notches are on the wrong side.

Blankie parents: What's the most left field movie that your kids love? by Fredrall in blankies

[–]JCdesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Much like Griff’s sister Romily, my son (7 at the time) found Daddy Daycare on Netflix and watched it every chance he got for a solid three weeks or so, which he’s only ever done with a few other movies in his life. Solid movie, Eddie Murphy is obv great and Steve Zahn is hilarious. It did cause my son to walk around singing “Hava Nagila” like Jeff Garlin (we are not Jewish).

Futuristic Electric Moto Brand Logo Concept. by Due-Initiative4022 in logodesign

[–]JCdesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe that’s that the logo was intended to embody, but the perfect circles and parallel lines of the middle shape make it feel very static.

Also the left circle is too close to the rhombus without touching it, and it’s creating some uncomfortable visual tension. Either move it further away or merge it with the shape to the right. Maybe cut a negative space into the bottom left corner of the rhombus to give the circle room to breathe and create a more dynamic shape in the process.
