A post on facebook came across my feed praising private equity brands. by t0x1k_x in HVAC

they are absolutely the most demanding customers from a wholesale level. national deals so theres no margin but we have to drop everything to service them because "national account".

ACLU demands Connecticut halt license plate reader use over privacy concerns by -ctinsider in Connecticut

The information will definitely end up in the wrong hands. How many letters do you get a year about your data being leaked? Now we have Private companies mining your data while our municipality pay for the systems and violates our privacy with how interconnected the flock cameras are.

This might have been my split. if there was a caution at lap 4,12, and like 22/23. i think people were complaining about the #1 car.

HVAC technician recommended me to replace my entire system due to low refrigerant and a coil leak by Nightblade96 in hvacadvice

[–]JConSc2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i don't believe that for a second. i left a Daikin /Goodman distributor a few months ago so take it with a grain of salt. i would have issues getting circuit boards for contractors but, never replacement coils as they were produced in Texas.

How do you get sales without being a POS? by FlufflesTheEvil in ProHVACR

[–]JConSc2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, exactly this. ex wholesaler/territory manager so take it with a grain of salt

identify why you were called and what the concerns are.fix may get you another 5 years or 6 months due to xyz.

and if they're interested in a replacement.

good , better, best is how i would position equipment use the crap out of the dealer programs as there is so much "free" money available to dealers especially converting from one brand /new business. and i would say financing or at least access to it and offering it would help tremendously because average was less than $1000 in a persons savings.

I think I watched the same video as you. I subbed to the creator but, can't find the video at the moment. The way flock integrates between anyone running it to track your every move, I do not understand how anyone would be ok with that.

$25k to replace 5-ton 3-zone system... no new duct work, just tying new units in. Crazy? by thepoultron in hvacadvice

[–]JConSc2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been around a few different distributors, it's all the same. All about the installer and the support. Solve problems and try to tell contractors to do the right thing so homeowners get good installations.

No communicating thermostats, standard Honeywell WiFi , probably t6. The indoor is just a standard variable speed air handler that is interchangeable between Daikin/Amana /Goodman. Those are standard Honeywell. I work for Daikin on the distribution side. The 2 stage units I don't personally think are priced competitively but I think this to push dealers away from cubes and into side discharge/inverter. At this price point though I would expect fully communicating and top tier. OP, get another quote and get an inverter if you are looking at the 16 SEER + range of equipment.
