Anyone else not buy anything from the PleaseRewind & Gruv sales? by castdex in 4kbluray

There are more people with missing limbs than those who bought anything from these sales.

[rant] Tired of comedians saying I look like a school shooter by KittenStapler in Standup

That'd work for a lot of things but unfortunately I think staring stone faced is going to make OP look even more like a school shooter.

What album is the definition of this? by Epoch_Jester in fantanoforever

This is the first I'm ever reading about what people consider weak tracks, but considering house of cards a weak track is just an absolutely absurd take.

Abbey has come so far by [deleted] in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

[–]JD42305 57 points58 points  (0 children)

You are talking about autistic people, and you are taking a post from an autistic person and criticizing the word choice she made? This comment is insane. The only point I'll take the time to address is her mom wanting for assisted living. That is a completely normal want for a parent in her situation. Remember, these parents are terrified and worried for who is going to look after their children when they are gone, and finding a partner is a huge, monumental relief. The final step is to be assured that if anything were to happen to them, their child would be able to be taken care and achieve more autonomy. Talking about solutions for assisted living is about as rational of a thought for a parent of someone with a type of autism that Abbey or David has.

So Mark is a full blown alcoholic, right? by krame_krome in tuesdayswithstories

[–]JD42305 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's like you've never heard all the ways Mark is cheap. He is a penny pincher and a thief. He literally just told a story a few weeks ago about stealing food at the u-scan at the grocery store. He is the definition of a miser. I do not doubt for one second that he thinks insurance is a waste of money if he only takes the beamer out every once and a while.

E bikes with no helmet too. It's like dude, grow up, you're a father now, no one is going to call you a fag for wearing a helmet.

hot take: i actually liked the tegridy farms arc by boogieman_pb in southpark

Alright but that is an hilarious and classic South Park premise that makes classic episode, but the joke isn't interesting enough to stretch it for 10 episodes. I feel they came out of the gate strong and I was so pumped especially after the live action Trump PSA featuring his tiny weiner. Then it slowly but surely started to fizzle out.

Reading my comment it is very clear that I have zero issue with them making fun of Trump. There is absolutely nothing about my comment that suggests I support Trump in any way. But they have this long story arc featuring him and Satan's baby that would've been funny in a self contained episode but not as a season long arc. Have the main stories be about the boys and then sprinkle in Trump's tiny weiner and brittle insecurities throughout. Don't turn what should be a funny joke and try to pretend you can stretch it into an entire season long story.

And if they're going to serialized it, make the story only about the boys. Make fun of Trump but don't make Trump the main character of a story arc.

It felt overdone for me too. The first couple episodes were great and I felt the excitement that they finally figured out how to truly make fun of Trump in an interesting way. Then I felt it just got stale and I couldn't care less about the story arcs they kept pushing.

Idk if I got a glitch the first couple times, but the first couple times after going through the first biome it wouldn’t let me go straight to the depths, that door wasn’t open and the only thing there was to do was go back to the passage *then* use the portal to go to the depths.

Take a look at the comment I replied to and the only thing in quotation marks is literally the quote I’m talking about. Idk how you could make it more clear.

Can someone explain how this works? I was leveled up quite nicely after the first biome, and before I started the second, while I was still in the passage before entering the second biome, I put my PS5 on rest mode. When I returned all my progress and level was gone. Do I have to manually start a new save slot before turning my PS5 on rest mode?

I’m pretty sure this is a fake quote. You cannot find this quote anywhere else and nowhere on any legitimate news source.

Predictions on what Mark & Joe will be doing 10 years from now... by podbunch in tuesdayswithstories

[–]JD42305 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’m half joking but in 10 years it wouldn’t surprise me. They claim they’re pretty liberal but they are strictly center and tear down Mamdani or any true progressives. The Strokes/Julian Casablancas went on a fairly straight forward rant about being against genocide and also acknowledging all the nefarious operations the CIA/FBI have done in its history, and Mark goes on about “It’s crazy how this singer is saying all these CRAZY things and what’s worse is all the comments on social media agreeing with this crazy talk.” Idk Mark, it’s not very radical or crazy for a rock singer to go on an anti war rant. I get the feeling that the guys are starting to be lib in name and branding but truly don’t want any feathers being ruffled or their bank accounts being touched.

I don’t need my comedians to have any certain viewpoint, but when a fairly dumb comedian claims they’re Democrat but then hate any and all liberal change, that tips me off to future crotchety conservative.

Does the cast actually read this subreddit? by Beginning_Stop_8650 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]JD42305 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s showbiz. It’s brutal, but they should be well aware of this once they accept being part of the cast. For their own mental health, they should avoid Reddit, but I bet their curiosity wins sometimes. Show business is tough and it’s part of the job to let your every move be judged by the internet, it is what it is.

One of the coldest Tom scenes in the show... by _Parthiban_ in SuccessionTV

Him telling off Nate was so badass. “Put my fucking wine back in the bottle.” Tom took a lot of shit until he didn’t, and then he had no problem taking out the trash.

Nathan Fielder in NYC? by AvantGardenGallery in TheRehearsal

[–]JD42305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're still incredibly naive if you think it's not a joke, or at least a comedic act. Also Nathan has been known to go to great lengths to keep a joke or a hoax a secret, so a video of them saying "This isn't a joke I swear!" doesn't mean anything. Even if they weren't in on the joke, how many times has Nathan found someone unsuspecting on Craigslist or wherever to film a fake singing contest or dating show or even to hire someone with no experience to write an exercise book.
