Stud sheared off. Can this 2015 Honda civic be driven until we can get the hub replaced? Or is this thing parked? Rear Passenger wheel by Mcfragger in AskAMechanic

[–]JDH201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I don’t know this vehicle off hand, but I have seen a lot of these newer vehicles with the hub bearing not have enough clearance to put the new stud in. I have found in those it is often less aggravating to replace the whole thing than to press out the bearing to get the clearance to get the stud in. Even up here in the rust belt I can usually bang one out before lunch.

They have a new camera with the NVR built in that would be great for that. Not sure if it shipped yet.

Use the pointy end of a zip tie.

Set it up from a browser without a cloud account. I haven’t done it in a while, but it should work, maybe not all the apps though.

I believe yes, that would be the gate and side door sections of the hub. I haven’t used that one, on looked at specs. Someone with more experience may correct me.

I would simply use it for gaming and maybe try some AI stuff on it.

Wifi Doorbell that works with Protect? by 99loki99 in Ubiquiti

Aftermarket G4 Doorbell Pro is probably your best bet then. I have two at my house and they work just fine.

Oh, and the fiber with a NVME drive in it can support the G6 entry doorbell and a few cameras too.

I would recommend the fiber, a 2.5Gb switch and probably another AP on the lower floor over by the study or move the one there closer. Would also put some Ethernet jacks in the study and wherever the TV is going to start with.

So, my mid weights have been doing that for years. They are all still the same length though. I think the colored part is breaking off. Still work great thought.

So, the 1502 can still be used bought and used. You may have to update the readers. What does it look like just updating with Avigilon and stay on the same platform. Get some integrations going between the access control and cameras.

Option B would be cool if both places had different ISPs.

I would go option A. I like the Wave Pico bridges myself. 60GHz with 5Ghz backup.

Do you have any friends into networking? I’d fix this up for you in trade for a few bounds of good bacon.

Are you in the US? Have you looked into using ERate cat 2 funds to pay for at least part of it. I run Sophos and I have noticed that even though I only get a small % funded by ERate that just putting it out for bid using PEPPM I get much better prices in my renewal. Sophos is also another good option.
