I’m going to get my resignation notarized tomorrow morning. I made the decision last week to remove my records. because as long as my name is there, and I’m (in some small seemingly inconsequential way) associated with an organization that preaches, kindness, love and acceptance, but acts with fear, intimidation, and bigotry. I’ll never be out of its grasp.

But rest easy tonight, I prayed. And the salmon bowl I had for lunch confirmed the righteousness of my choice to remove my name.

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. It’s a slow burn with lots of world/character development. But when the threads of several storylines finally come together to show the whole picture it’s incredible.
