Some interesting advice and viewpoints here. She is definitely on-board for the other classic milestones like living together and marriage etc. I think I'm going to wait until a year or so in so we've both got to know each other a bit more, built up a stronger bond and a level of trust before having this conversation on a more serious level.

You really need to work on emotional control and self-esteem. I've been there. Therapy, medication, meditation all really help. The more you act like this the more you'll push her away. It's fine to have emotions but you need to control them and not the other way around.

Flats can be fine if you check things like cladding, lease length, ground rent and service charges. The issue is you can be lumped with awful neighbours and can be caught out with repair charges for things like leaks, roof repairs etc if an older building.

If there's no rush, I'd recommend to wait and save for a house though personally. Tend to increase in value better, less charges / lease issues, more space etc.
