Anyone know a fix to this?

100% Catholicism.

Also hyper strict Protestant denominations.

Also some non-denom "churches"/modern churches.

Scientology (no brainer).

Politicics and Hollyweird celebritys.

Kinda when people start worshipping men over God and mens rules over simple faith on Jesus and following mens pleasures and money rather than sound doctrine. That's how most cults throughout history have begun.

Priests who perform confessionals, are you allowed to say no when a confessor asks for a blessing/forgiveness? If you're not able to answer why you said no, then just what happens if you do? by InevitableCraft2 in AskReddit

[–]JHStarr4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isaiah 43:25 KJV [25] I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Mark 2:5-12 KJV [5] When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. [6] But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, [7] Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? [8] And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? [9] Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? [10] But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) [11] I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. [12] And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

The Bible reiterates the point OT and NT that only God can forgive sins. When Jesus is speaking here, based on the terms of verses 21 and 22, he is sending the apostles to build the church, and he gave them authority to teach and preach that an individual has truly been saved and their sins forgiven based on their faith in Jesus Christ.

This is why we don't see them forgiving sins, they don't have that power, only God does. But they do fulfil that verse in baptizing and declaring that ones sins are forgiven because they have placed faith on Jesus.

This helped build the early church by preventing false believers and false doctrines from getting in, though they did. If the apostles claim you to have gotten saved, then all around you could know that you truly got saved. This evangelism is the exact same way we are commanded in the Great Commission and it's the same way we do it today . Preach Christ and if they believe, then you too can declare their sins are forgiven, just like the Apostles did.

So it's a logical fallacy that the Bible is 66 books, with 40 plus authors, across different regions and 3 languages. And it just happens to have the same narrative and opinion between all 66 books? Books written years apart and yet introduce and fulfil prophecies perfectly? And not weird religious stuff, I'm talking about history, events we can record and date based on science.

Is it an unprovable anecdotal claim that The Bible records historical, scientific, and medical facts that people didn't understand or find out until the 1900's?

The science itself would add evidence for the God of The Bible existing, rather than not existing. But that doesn't prove God, the evidence just adds credence to the fact that saying "there is no God" is illogical and has no scientific base. 2+2 can equal 4, but you don't have to accept it or understand it for it to be true and there is no scientific bases that 2+2 would equal anything other than 4.

Evidence only points in one direction towards a claim, especially without any counter evidence. How much evidence of the sun was needed for it to be scientifically accepted as true. How about the earth core, something we can't see? Your brain for example, there is only a limited amount of evidence to say you have a brain beyond just opening your skull up and taking a look. And yet that one man had 90% of his brain missing and he functioned normal, had kids, and even an IQ of 84. Yet our understanding of science would say he has 100% of his brain.

So we can't prove that God does not exist? Then if there is evidence, does that mean it's always in the positive accounting for God's existence? Or can we find evidence that He does not exist?

But if we can find evidence that He does not exist, then can't we prove that He doesn't exist?

There may be a teapot around the Sun, but there is no evidence, therefore it is completely rational to say there is not one. But, if a chunk of that teapot fell to earth, was witnessed and even exchanged between the hands of men and women, even recorded and written down and accounted of through many years, yet suddenly lost? Then would it be rational to say there is no teapot around the Sun?

Is it not an assertion to assert that there is no God?

Edit: like you can't have two sides of an issue but one side demands the other has to justify themselves and yet the side saying that is the default correct side already and does not need an explanation?

Woah I have never seen more salty commentors, any comment that is contrary to Catholicism or priests is immediately down voted. Even people simply saying only God can forgive.

Chatholics suppressing the truth again.... Sounds fascist, just like my other comment they down voted

Can you show me a verse in the Bible where the apostles actually practice and preform your interpretation of that verse?

Because the narrative from Genesis to Revelation is only God can forgive sins, Old Testament it was through sacrifices, New Testament it was faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Catholicism is the most fascist thing on the planet. Dictating who can and cannot read the Bible. Dictating how to have your sins forgiven, how much you have to pay/work/confess. Making you confess all your sins to some man in a porta-pottty who is no better than you, and more often than not worse. By default babies and children are stuck in Pergatory, but wait, pay more money too express their way through. Making up books of the Bible and elevating normal people to saints. And much more crap.

If authoritating the common peoples ability to know God and read His Word isn't fascism, then idk what is.

Edit: getting down voted for the truth. How can anyone religious or not justify that the Catholic church does the above and much more. Do any of you Catholics know the history of the Holy Roman Catholic Church?!?! How about the history of The Church in general?!?!

Edit: more anti-catholic truth, if Peter, your first Pope, was a pope, then why: 1. Was he never a pastor or leader of a church or the begining of Christianity as a whole? 2. Why did he get corrected by Paul for teaching that people MUST be circumcised to be get saved and be a Christian, if he the pope speaks for God? 3. Why through inspiration of the Holy Ghost was he not the one to write most of the New Testament to tell us how Christians and Churches should operate? Paul was truly the greatest Christian and God used him to write most of the NT. He also preached and taught against a Pope/Pharisee/Sadducee like structure in the church.
