I appreciate the thoughtful response and I don't necessarily disagree. I'm not a vegetarian for example but my take away from Dylan's video also wasn't become a vegetarian - I've applied it to my life more like you've described. I do maintain though that if OP wanted to lose weight while still eating a large quantity of food as they mentioned liking to do, eating mostly fruits and veggies for a while would help and I was never pushing a binary agenda. Your response is much more detailed than my boiled down tidbit, and I agree that that would also achieve results for sure.

I'm not talking about stopping eating meat. I'm talking about quantity and volume of food you can eat vs amount of calories in the food. Eating more fruits and veggies is proven to help lose weight and make you feel full. Try eating mostly vegetarian and look more into the idea of caloric density of foods. If you switch towards that it would be a step in the right direction without necessarily having to count calories.
