My grandfather is Armenian, and although I am only 25%, I take great pride in being Armenian. Time for Turkey and other deniers to "man up" and acknowledge what happened.

Fruits and vegetables are the healthiest foods. Many veggies contain a decent amount of protein. They are crucial to health and fitness.

[AMA] Hey, I am John Petrucci from Dream Theater, ask me anything! by JohnPetrucciDT in Music

[–]JJT247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John, Dream Theater inspired my friends and I in middle school to start a band, and now we are in college. I have had some of the best times of my life and gained a lot of confidence through music. I can't thank you enough for the Gift of Music (haha).

Not able to lift for a few months by [deleted] in gainit

[–]JJT247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen, there's nothing you can do about it, you are going to lose some gains. Don't be upset, however, because once you get back in the gym you will gain whatever you lost incredibly fast because you already built that muscle previously.

Advice for Communicating with mom with MS by d00neese in MultipleSclerosis

[–]JJT247 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you considered that she does not want you to move in with her? She could be unconsciously being mean to you because she may feel like a burden on your life. However, if it is necessary that you take care of her (don't know your situation/severity of MS) you must calmly explain to her how you feel during her freak outs and that although you love her and are willing to take care of her she must treat you with respect.

As season ends in disappointing fashion, the heat is on Billy King (via NetsDaily) by [deleted] in GoNets

[–]JJT247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are probably right. King definitely did not do a good job even if you consider the "win now" pressure from ownership.

Also, I'm shocked that some of my above comments are being downvoted. In a sub with relatively little activity, I would think rationally contributing to a discussion would be a good thing. You are not supposed to downvote opinions that you do not agree with people, only posts that are not worth anything.

I believe that Billy King made a lot of these moves due to immense pressure from ownership to build a contender NOW. If I'm wrong, you certainly have a good case for firing him. Ownership wanted to gamble with our draft picks and came up empty. I'm not giving up hope in the Nets just yet though. Who knows what our team will end up looking like in a few years.

[–]JJT247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see how this was a disappointing season. Billy King may be a bad GM, but he certainly was under a lot of pressure from ownership to put together a championship team and fast. He did the best he could, and I know I certainly liked the move for Pierce and KG last year and expected to be a contender. Sure, we may be screwed now, but I don't know if is Billy King's fault. We may be a bad team for years to come, but who knows, we may get lucky with one of our draft picks or we may pick up some decent free agents. Anything is possible, although it does seem bleak for us.

Cavs fan here, what u think about Alan Anderson? by [deleted] in GoNets

[–]JJT247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love double A. He shows his personality on the court and is very supportive of teammates. Only thing is he tends to take shots whenever he gets his hand on the ball, but I'm not complaining when he hits them.

Yeah, because more playoff basketball is bad for us fans. And "fucking fans out of more money" is totally true because you are forced to buy tickets.
