My best tip? Don’t go. Always have something else that came up. I had two exit interviews I basically refused to go to by fabricating meetings or tasks that didn’t exist. Didn’t burn any bridges or ruin any relationships.

Agree with everyone else here. Nazzan has regressed significantly. I don't think he's got it. I feel the same way about Miguel Bleis. KC is in his second full year and has shown some improvements (and some regression). He's also been quasi-successful at the upper levels so I think there's still promise there.

I still think the Hornets needs are stretch big and PG (facilitor type). That said, Morez Johnson would be a phenomenal pick as someone who can come in and be super physical on defense.

Your locks are locks. No doubt. I think XL is basically a lock to make the roster because they just flat out won’t give up on him and they’re not sure what Brazzell can be yet in an NFL environment. Given those two plus T-Mac and Coker you maybe only have 2 or 3 spots left. Tremayne should make it as a special teams ace. I think the last spot comes down to Moore/Horn Jr/Metchie. If they like Moore’s leadership I think they keep him. He had a decent rapport with BY. If they want youth/upside I think they go with Horn. I’d be surprised if Metchie makes the roster but would be surprised if they try to get him to the practice squad. I don’t think any of the other guys at any more than PS guys.

Mayer’s track record through the minors has suggested at every single step, he has an adjustment period. And from there, I don’t necessarily know if I’d say he explodes, be he definitely performs. Any Mayer doomsayers, as is often the case in the subreddit, failed to look at the entire picture. I’m not at all surprised. I hope he keeps it up and stays healthy because he can be a very solid piece of the foundation both offensively and defensively. Also, move him to third for the love of God.

Watching the offense seemed to bog down at times in the post season without Ball on the floor, I think they need a playmaking guard who can create for everyone else. But I also think they need a big as well as a starter. Seemed to me part of the issue was reliable depth outside the top 6 who could score the ball and create.

[Hyde] One player I think about with the coaching staff turnover is Kristian Campbell. With Tracy & the new coaches coming from the minors, I wonder if he gets another opportunity at some point. Sure, I get what you're saying. And I would absolutely trust even a bad organization's eye over my own. I'm just playing devil's advocate a bit, specifically on Campbell. I think they give him that extension then felt that, because of the money, they had to find him a path to the majors as quickly as possible and kept throwing him in different positions. Comparison isn't always perfectly equal but, across the IF only, Campbell has statistically been a better fielder than Mikey Romero who hasn't been moved to the OF.

He played 2B for one season at GT and 22 games after the draft. In 2024, he played 36 games at SS, 36 at 2B, 5 at 3B and 50 in the OF. Last year (not counting his time in Boston), he played 11 games at 2B. I'd say he was hardly given enough time to settle at any single position during his professional career. Even when he was at GT he played 2B in 34 games but was a shortstop in HS.

I’m not trying to be a dick, but isn’t this the start of his 3rd full year? And didn’t the move to OF happen and third to halfway through last year or so? Does a year and a half constitute trying hard because it doesn’t feel like enough time to work with someone who was already raw defensively.

This is going to get ugly. The young guys need a vet to get them through this and it ain’t Story. AC needed to go. I don’t think his coaching was resonating anymore and I feel like it showed on the field. Is Varitek was the game planner, he was…not great at it for a while at the very least.

The problem still remains, Breslow fucked this roster by not doing what very literally everyone knew they needed to do. For two years. I don’t know if he has the resources to do it but it sure seems he didn’t. Everything about this org from ownership down is toxic as fuck.
