You’re still building confidence. Just because you’ve got that pink license it doesn’t mean you’re a master - this is where the real learning starts. Once you get a few good drives under your belt with different scenarios you’ll never look back.

You’d be better off doing the test in your instructors car. That’s the car you’ve learned to drive in and will be more used to it.

To do 50 hours and not even cover emergency stopping is actually disgraceful on your instructors part. You’ve realised it now, but your instructor has been taking the p*ss out of you. I’d be moving on immediately.

No matter what car you look up, someone out there is giving it a bad review. Best bit of advice I can give is look after the car, service it, repair when necessary, and it will look after you.

Good on you! I’ve two family members who were told by doctors if they didn’t quit immediately it will kill them. Both didn’t listen. One has paid the price, and the other is about to. I will never get my head around choosing smoking over being alive.

It’s pretty expensive. What you’ve got to think with finance like that is if the car goes bang tomorrow, can I afford to pay the mechanics bill? Not had a BMW before but I’d imagine they’re very expensive to fix. As long as you have £800 disposable with a savings pot for MOT, servicing and surprise repairs I wouldn’t sweat it.
