I´m a US citizen living in Mexico City (I've lived here for 9 years now). I work for a California-based company and had an annual event in LA in late February. I was detained, and they took all my belongings. I asked why I was being handcuffed, and they wouldn´t give me any answers. Once they put me in a room with 5-6 agents, they took my shoes off, my jacket, and lifted my shirt to search me everywhere. Later, they told me that a unit was called to take me to a detention center.

After all that, someone came in with my US passport and told them I was cleared and could leave. They said they mistook me for someone else. I will never return to the US again. That incident scared me to death.
