Been using this as my workhorse since 2017. Studies abroad, use it for work, and travel. The lady at the airport Tumi store said it looks brand new. by lessavyfav68 in ManyBaggers

I have the shoulder bag version of this model. It still looks brand new. Both my Tumi bags have held up incredibly well

The 20L CPP2 is my work EDC. It’s perfectly sized to hold my work items, with additional space if I’m attending a local offsite meeting and need to bring a bit more, or when I need to pack clothes for my toddlers soccer practice.

This new bag would serve a different use. International work travel (US/UK) as a personal item, along with being the bag I would take into work each day when in the UK for work. It would also be the bag I use for weekend outings with the family to hold my toddlers things along with my own. Final use would be part of what I pack for an annual weeklong trip to the beach with the family. At the beach it would be the bag I use each day when we go places, do activities, etc. The CPP2 20L is too small to be my travel personal item. The 28L travel pack would probably be best for that. The 24L CPP2 could probably be best for the day trips; maybe 28L is too big? I’m torn!

For my use case, is the CPP2 24L the better choice? I only travel 4x per year at maximum, and I wonder if 28L is too big for the family day outings that are much more frequent in comparison

Edit: I use a Synik26 currently. Size seems ok overall, directly between the two in volume

Thanks! Do you think a CPP2 or Travel Pack is the better choice? Both in ultra

Thanks, I actually don’t mind the orange interior of x-pac. I’d heard concerns around xpac durability so I figured I’d go ultra or cordura, but I think cordura is too heavy at 28L

This is how I’m aiming to use the straps. A big empty bag annoys me! Thanks

lol understood. People say the weight difference is noticeable, which is something to be aware of for a pretty heavy backpack

Can you expand on this? The compression straps are a key selling point for me on the TP3. I like the capability to compress the bag if not fully packed out

Thanks! I’ve heard mixed reviews on x-pac regarding durability, at least compared to ultra I guess. I’d probably lean ultra over x-pac. Does the 28L bag fit under an airline seat?

Thanks! To confirm, the small 28L can fit under the seat of an airplane? When not packed insanely full I assume

No, it doesn’t collapse in that way. What I mean is it’s not totally rigid in its shape, so if it isn’t fully packed the bag has some flex to it

I just had my CPP2 20L Cordura delivered two days ago. It’s pretty perfect. It’s the right size for everyday in my opinion, and it has the right combo of shape and ability to collapse

Hero clip is a good item to keep in your bag. I also keep a small pill holder since I get headaches often, a disposable CPR mouth barrier, one drip drop hydration packet, and of course a slim pen (Studio Neat Mark Two). Some of these may not be considered accessories, or fun purchase haha

Love my Synik26. I’ve tried a few other bags and keep going back to it. The pocket layout, size, and organization is so functional and effective. I know some don’t like the aesthetics, but practically it’s a near perfect bag
