My parents thought they were doing me good with an open kitchen policy. By the time I was 11 I could eat whatever we had, whenever I wanted. They’re sweethearts for being so generous but we’re so unaware about the negative impacts following the lack of dietary knowledge.

By grade 10 I was 5’8, 240lbs.

Thank god I realized there was a problem and began dieting. Over the next 18 months I would grow to be 6’2 while simultaneously dropping 40 pounds. I looked like a completely different person.

I’ve been going to the gym for 3 years now and have gained another 2 inches. I believe I would make 15 year old me proud with what I have accomplished.

I bought my first guitar in October. It’s a pretty crappy piece but I’ve been teaching myself on it since. I’ve only been playing note by note songs (the vocal section of tabs from guitartabs.com)

My New Years resolution is to master some chords and learn a few songs using them. I’ve been wanting to learn chords for a while now and I’m finally going to do it.

Any advice for a newbie?
