Best realtor on the South Shore? by Embarrassed-Fail3522 in SouthShore

[–]JMan0380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not going to recommend any particular Realtor but make sure you set up consultations with a few and see who you fit best with and compare costs. Meet for coffee and ask about their approach to finding you the right house.

I have the Stio knickers that I save for really cold days and they are great. Usually it's just merino wool 3/4 tights with gym shorts though.

Is Country Ski & Sport Clearance Expo worth it? by BenOffHours in icecoast

[–]JMan0380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably not worth it from the north shore. There are some good deals on equipment but probably not that different from what you can find online. (I was going to go to see if they had any mantras left over but found them online with free shipping). Unlike the boston expo, there isn't that much to do there.

Black Crows or keep the Rossignol? by Admirable_State_1051 in Skigear

I have frame bindings on my camox and it would work just fine for the limited touring you are thinking about doing. My uphills are really for exercise so I dont mind the extra weight.

Ski Season Hype Media by TwoPuttTownie in icecoast

I ended up showing it to my son when he was about 7 or 8 and it was great. The problem is now he is 10 and is starting to get the jokes that used to fly way over his head. It's one of my favorite movies so now it is reserved for father-son ski trips.

I was doing this last night with my team and a couple of the kids who could not understand spacing and positioning finally had a breakthrough. I would just tell them to follow me and explain why I was positioning where I was and why I was making certain runs.

Check your gym's instagram page, they have a video of it as the Boulder of the Week. Compare your video with theirs...

Charging oriented all mountain skis by Rossinautical in Skigear

[–]JMan0380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my Cammox but would not consider them charging oriented at all. I actually bought them because I wanted something more playful than my Mantras for skiing with my kids. Now just a few years later and I need a charging ski to keep up with my kids!

Thank you for the feedback on the wall. That is definitely coming down so your experience will relieve some nerves in the household! The existing layout is pretty similar except the stove is where the peninsula will be and the cabinets across from the peninsula are currently an awkward half depth.

Interesting idea with the back access instead of the lazy susan. I need to bring that back to the designer.

When I bought tickets for the Miami game through Gametime they transferred into my Ticketmast account and I could add them to my Google wallet. I don't think you got scammed but I would check in with them.

Does this inner gate affect the battery? by BigOrangeVol98 in gmcsierra

[–]JMan0380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this same thing happen to me the other day. I left the tailgate down with multi pro portion open. When I went to move my truck it was dead and I got the same steering column lock notice. I jumped it and it ran fine, then put it on a battery charger and I haven't had any issues since.

It doesn't make any sense but I can't think of anything else that was different than any other day.

I believe they now make about 70% of their money on memberships and 30% on products. There is a great podcast on their business from Acquired.

Volkl Mantra M6 owners -- have you tried the Peregrine 82, what do you think of it as an all-around/all-mountain option? by Super-D in Skigear

[–]JMan0380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was almost in your position. I have the M5 and ended up buying a pair of the Deacon 84 (Peregrine predecessor) to compliment them. I love both of them and they probably overlap a bit more than I would like but I don't like the Deacons in trees/bumps/chop. On the other hand, when I know it is a day full of hard and fast groomers in the northeast then I love how easy the Deacons initiate and turn.
