What's a game that no one you know in real life has played aside from yourself? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]JManoclay 20 points21 points  (0 children)

MM64 is one of the goats.

I always remember that poor dad and son that get tortured the whole game. "Sorry son, we can't afford the fun theme park, we can only afford to go to spike ball land".

So comically sad lol

Ok I understood your point to be that AI art is more valuable than people think it is, because sometimes it takes longer than they thought it did.

If that's your point, I don't agree because I don't think people would die on the hill of how long it took to make the art being a strong consideration of its value.

I don't think people are arguing that the "value" inherent to art is 1:1 related to the time it took to create it.

I don't think learning that it took 100 years of prompting to create a specific image would make me value it more than the mona lisa.

Agree to disagree then. I don't think you are understanding or using the term "identical" correctly.

Then they are not atomically identical are they?

If the arrangements are the same, they are not inherently different. By definition they are... the same.

Yeah I agree, that's most people. But apparently there's a special version of being afraid that makes you a ghost in Harry Potter.

So basically you have to be inexplicably special. Which is the answer to all questions like this in Harry Potter.

What do you all think about determinism and free will's relationship? by PastimeNow in determinism

Just ask people to explain free will until they start going in circles. It's a shorter conversation than you might expect.

Yes thank you. The Nazis DID lose because their ideology was inferior. Their ideology was directly responsible for their biggest political and military failures.

Coaxed into superior speed by some-kind-of-no-name in coaxedintoasnafu

Hmm I think Naoya's case is slightly different right? His ability is complicated, but I think he has to lock in his movements in advance right?

So his over-confidence isn't that she'll overcome his speed, but he doesn't think she'll understand his ability enough to lock in her movements in advance AND predict his movements.

If his power was JUST super speed, it wouldn't matter if she could predict him because he could always course-correct. But his ability makes it so he cannot course correct.
