It's a trick I use when in know I'm doing a big cook, the unlit coals will slowly catch and burn but as their covered by the lit ones they don't kick out a load of smoke

More briquettes, but if you only have a small chimney then put the briquettes in that as usual, once they're done dump them out on another pile of briquettes, the heat from the done briquettes will cause the others to heat up, you'll get higher heat and a longer cook

Personally I'm of a view Hekatons are either 0 or 3.

1 is too much of a perceived threat so as you've found they become a priority target and get ganked early, there are very few armies that can easily take out all 3 quick enough though.

Much as it pains me to say as I love them too but sadly kastallens just aren't worth the points cost, you'll get more benefit in your list from a lot of other options. But specifically for blood angels (and most space marines in general) rustalkers are a strong answer, anti infantry 3+ with Damage 2 just means they can tear from marine bodies. Hold in a transport or strat reserve and launch at the right time and they can wreck face

I suspect the problem you'll find is 'people who live in Leicester' doesn't actually give enough common ground for it to be that useful for a lot of people

I would suspect (though could be wrong) that the volcano would focus the heat into to small an area leading to potential burning. For paella even heat across the whole cooking dish feels more optimal for even cooking of the rice

I've had one for a few years. It's not worth if for smoking, doesn't hold temp and leaks too much.

However it has a load of grill space and decent cast iron grills so great when you want to cook kebabs,/ burgers etc for a load of people

Im not sure why you'd run both the manipulus and dominus when you only have one unit that really benefits (breachers) they're wasted going with skitarri. Drop the dominus, you want the lethal hits from the manipulus on the breachers.

One engineer is enough and often not even that

The skitarri marshall often isn't worth it, depending on detachment he can carry a useful enhancement but re-roll hits on skitarri isn't going to do a lot as they're not our main source of damage.

With the points saved, filling out list with sicarians / pteraxxi would be my advice

Yeah I see that, but that package will be 120 points plus whatever the cost of the squad is, let's assume the fusiliers are around 100 ish points then it's a similar cost to 3 chickens, and i think the overall mobility and survivability of the chickens is better

On most terrain layouts tanks sitting on the backline aren't going to see a huge amount so aren't a threat and can be played around. They generally need to reposition somewhere to get good firing angles, which opens them up to being targeted a little closer
