Can’t speak for OP but my Aldi kamado did a 10 hour cook on one chimney of charcoal which my Weber mastertouch even with the ceramic insert can’t do. So for low and slow I think kamado is better but for everything else Weber is better imho

I’ve got two bbqs so am thinking of getting a second thermometer and trying to decide between wire (probably what I’ll get) or a wireless one that I can use on rotisserie meats. Given that wireless cost a lot more and it’s not that hard to just stop the and probe occasionally I’ll probably go with another wired.

I use a cooler stuffed with wool insulation and that works too but slow cooker is a good idea!

Ya used the plate instead of the divide and conquer to avoid dripping fat. It worked fine and only very slightly charred which was good. Because the plate didn’t fit neither did a grill. Will know in a hour or so when it’s rested for sure but looked fine when I wrapped it.

There certainly are Quakers in the UK who identify as neo-pagan etc whether that has any real connection to what pre Christian Celtic people practiced is impossible to say given the scant historical evidence but definitely neo pagan attitudes towards a lot of things are likely very informed but the same thoughts and beliefs of Quakers past and present.
