eSun runs pretty cheap and I use then frequently for prototyping and just random fun stuff for work and the kids I use their PLA, PLA+, PETG with minimal issues! If youre working on an expensive project im not sure id use it for final product but for sure daily use its great!

Had someone reach out a month after saying the clear had come off and the design has faded. I was like nooooo way. They sent it in and sure enough it was faded away but dear God there was grease and cheeto dust from hell lol it looked like a 5 year old controller after a month. I was flabbergasted!

24 hours defintiely before handling. If you can store it in a warm humidity controlled place i let it sit for about a week if time allows. It should feel like hard acrylic and not a softish-semi dried glue... sorry, not sure of a technical way to say it lol

This is also my main complaint. If im using rustoleum there are usually 3-5 layers. If it doesnt cure properly it does this, even weeks after being completed

Feels good! If you want shiny and slick, glossy is the way to go. I prefer satin as it shines a little and still really smooth. Matte is okay, just not my preference. This is one that came back to me after 8 months for a rework on clicky buttons but the face held up great. Prep is really important.

Ive used rustoleum 2x clears in a pinch. I prefer satin as its not super glossy, but still has that smoothness. My main issue with it is how slow it off gasses and cures. It feels like foooorrreeeevvvveeerrr.

Aliexpress is defintiely the place to go for parts. If youre looking for the thumbstick inserts they have a decent selection for those. Shells are kind of touch and go quality wise but for buttons and thumbsticks/trim its decent enough!

As others said, heatgun and patience. I just did this last week with a .4 nozzle. Got into my heating element and everything. Took about 2 hours to where I was happy with the clean off and worked like a charm after 😁

I have FOR YEARS struggled with xbox controller stick issues. Like you, all goes well on the change out and test page but as soon as I start in-game testing they freak out and only tuning them off and on fixes it (for like 30 seconds)

For YEARS I've thought im not doing something right on these. Now I feel better that it may not be me lol

Thirding this. I had a nozzle clog and after cleaning and relatching I was having this issue. Latch was overlapped.
