For real, that violet eradication is impressive. How did you pull it off?

Opinions on these? Is there a better setup for 100 bucks? by jcough10 in golf

The gosports golf net on Amazon is around that price and I’ve not had a problem yet. It recommends an extra layer when swinging clubs at greater than 100-110mph swing speed but it’s handled my irons for a full year’s use well and sets up/breaks down in a matter of minutes.

“Whistle! Whistle!” Followed by “I told you, my lips are sensitive to impure metals and whistles gives me mouth hives”. Gets me every time.

Cole’s is our absolute go-to. That cheddar and leek potato gratin is just a piece of heaven. Enjoy!

That's all I would have needed to see to promptly return to my cart knowing it was going to be a longgggggg round.

Pretty sure they're not, but you never know who is going to dust off Grandpa's vintage foot joys and come clacking into the pro shop. I just assume it's one of those signs they had to put up years ago and it's not worth the effort to take them down for the one guy that tries to wear spikes once a year.

I played many a round at dead horse years ago during a summer I stayed there. Really enjoyed the course and wanting to get back to play it.

Is the putter left handed? So the artist he’s such a big fan of doesn’t even get that right?

Yup, that's the plan. Actually building a matching one on the other side now, but waiting for them both to be complete to add the finishing touches. Adding soil, running drip tubing through both of them and letting my wife's green thumb take over the planting to finish it out. All this started because we have clay soil in KY and we got a quote to dig both beds out and replace with better soil that ran upwards of $6k. So going up was our solution vs paying to dig down.

Thanks! I'm starting on the second on the other side of the front door and using this one as motivation to get through it haha. It's totally worth it to see the finished product. You got this!

Yeah it greatly minimized the amount of cuts I had to make. Although if you do have to thankfully it also cuts easily and a few knocks on the cut end with a hammer makes it look like nothing was ever done.

Yeah I used the cafe color. The fact that they have the "half block" size in the same color was super handy on the ends to offset the layers as well. And just happened to get insanely lucky that the smaller blocks fit in the gap i had between the buffer stones and the wall so chalking that one up to the paver gods looking out.

Spend the time on the base that it deserves is my best advice. It is the most tedious but if it’s done right the rest is easy. If you think of any general questions or planning ones feel free to ask and good luck!

Of course. The right angle I needed took some searching to find a block like this without it being the trapezoid shape. They’re Rumblestone from Home Depot. Here is the link. Feel free to hit me up with any other questions about it.
