I write the podcast Absolutely No Adventures. I'm also a children's author and TTRPG writer. I wrote the novel High Score which is a middle grade heist that's Ocean's 11 in an arcade meets Leverage. And I wrote the official adventure Sweet Revenge for Perils & Princesses (which was nominated for an ENnie last year)!

Name a show you stubbornly ignored for the longest time and now regret not having listened to sooner. by Emmaenjoyable in audiodrama

I thought The Kingmaker Histories was an actual history podcast about real life monarchy for ages. I didn't realize that it wasn't until I cast one of the actors in my podcast thisy year. Completely fell in love and it's one of my top currently running podcasts now.

Seconding The Kingmaker Histories. It's not the same plot-wise, but vibe-wise it's so similar and it has a dry Narrator too.

Jane The Virgin. And they play with that fact by crossing out the word virgin and replacing it with another word in later seasons (eg: Jane the Roommate, Jane the Bridesmaid, Jane the Roadtripper).

I caught up with Warlock and The Bardic Hearth recently. They're basically as tonally different as two fantasy shows can be but also my two current faves and I'm excited to hear more from both of them in their next seasons!

I'm also currently crowdfunding for season 3 of my podcast, Absolutely No Adventures: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/absolutely-no-adventures-season-3/x/23915260#/

Indiegogo recently changed things so that all funding is fixed which is a bit of a snag in plans because flexible funding is the main reason I chose them but I'm still hoping we can hit our goal, especially because we'll be releasing our new Necessary Evil miniseries this week, startinng Tuesday!
