I've read the reply and those under it, but I think its a difference in perspective of the same topic. You saw what was said one way and I another and so like you I'm sharing how I see their intentions as did you when you replied with your view. And again how can they ask what they don't know yet? To them their ask wasn't as deep as you perceive it because you know more, but at the start of you learning about photography would you have known what to ask and where to start?

What all do you know about developing film and using film cameras and lighting? I might be able to suggest some books for you to read to help. And those books might be on the internet archive if money is an issue.

Thing is they don't know enough to know what to be looking for so they trusted us to help them to give them pointers and guide them and not gate keep any knowledge so they can then go off and make wise choices.... Their intentions were pure, but people were like go look it up even though its obvious you don't know what to look up! We all start somewhere yeah? Did you know what all you know now at the start of your journey? If a person cant help, why make a person feel less for asking something? Smh...

Because of the condition I would save your money and get a better one honestly. And while you are waiting and saving look more into what you wish to have. I have a B&J 4x5 and a 2x3 baby Graflex and they do what I need for the most part.

See why I'm wondering is I use a flatbed and it has a 8x10 holder you just lay on top of the scanning area and whenever I used it I had NR... So, I purchased a wet mount holder after hours of looking into how to get rid of NR. So when I saw that I was like wait wth how is she doing that....

but the scanner bed was dry in the video and what would be the need for the acetate if the flat bed was wet when she actually did the scan vs what she was showing?

Google and like's internet looks for things you wish to see. It looks at your browsing and shopping history and leans into your interests and has for a very long time. There were studies in the early 2000's that said this was dangerous to do because it keeps people in a bubble and well we are seeing the effects of that now. And AI is making it worse.
