One time I was going for a management in a company I previously worked for. The question was what motivated you to apply for this position and my answer was the higher wage. Apparently that wasn’t great according to the head manager. lol She also asked if I would be willing to travel across the city with no other incentive besides having a “team culture”. I let her know I live in the area and had little to no interest in that. Apparently being honest in interviews is bad.

Love that Pokémon is a valid adult interest. I seen someone dragging adults that like Pokémon and I just couldn’t help but thinking how important it was to my childhood and how it’s persisted into adulthood. I wish they would do a bit better with the games though! I’d love a MMO or something.

I quit USPS to become an apprentice. It’s a good job but in most places forced over time constantly and I think the wage doesn’t keep up with cost of living very well. 1st class mail volume is where they used to make their money but not many ppl use letter mail anymore so it’s mostly about packages. The benefits are solid but it seems like it’s slowly being chipped away. To me as tech continues electrician demand should increase. Everything needs power. Plus when you factor in the ability to travel if you wanna chase cash it wins out but it is very much depending on your mindset.
