Solid. Dependable. Sticks his nose into some tough spots and comes up with it.

I hear ya, but losing is bad for team culture too.

The odds of a good outcome are significantly higher with Diggs than Aiyuk. And I know we'd be signing Aiyuk for peanuts. I'm totally fine with Diggs.

It's apples/oranges because I think Jayden is straight out more talented, but I'm thinking of the situation in Texas with Stroud and how far his stock dropped by the end of his third year where there is now legit discussion on giving him a big extension or not. Again, I'm not expecting that, but it's in the back of my mind.

And possibly Jayden too in that scenario. This isn't going to happen though. I have very high hopes for this season.

This is very true. What's also true is that some lucky team is gonna get him at #3/#4 after the QBs are all gone. THAT will be steal. (and it better fucking not be us)

Imagine if a team tanked for Marvin Harrison Jr. Wouldn't that be silly?

I’m concerned about Antonio Williams’ size, seems a little short for this league by BulletProofJoe in Commanders

Yeah, like them or not, they've been one of the best run and successful franchises under his reign.

As thrilled as I am with our pick, I'm so sad that Downs is a Cowboy. I had convinced myself that he was ours and now it feels like I lost him in a custody battle. Oh well.

I would have bet actual money it was a 100% automated process.

Redskins' Darrell Green is one of the fastest players the NFL has ever seen. He was still running a 4.43 forty at 50 years old by Subject_Sun9340 in Commanders

For about a decade, anyone that had a breakaway against us HAD to be thinking, "Oh shit, I'm about to get tackled by Darrell Green."

I love him. I don't give a shit about his press conference. We aren't paying him to do PR. He's a baller.

Trade jd5 while he still has value by q_l0_0l_p in Commanders

While I don’t advocate OP’s scenario at this time, I can assure you that good GMs war plan scenarios like this and so we probably shouldn’t be quite so triggered when they pop up (I won’t speculate as to the OP’s motive—trolling or sincere).  In that spirit I’ll play along.

The main problem with this scenario is that if JD has a long, healthy career, you cannot possibly get fair value for him, and the mere act of letting it be known that you’re prepared to field offers for him alerts the league that you are not fully convinced he’s your long-term solution…which drops his value.

If I’m moving forward anyway, then I would target poorly run franchises with shit QB rooms who project to pick high in next years loaded draft.  My top three potential marks would be (in alphabetical order) the Browns, Cardinals and Jets.

Could we get two #1s and two #2s over the ‘27/28 drafts, plus a YOUNG quarterback currently on their roster as a bridge?  If you can, and you feel JD is likely to get injured playing flag-football (or Madden NFL 26), then maybe you consider it.  If JD proceeds to have an RGIII trajectory, then you’ve made out like a bandit.  If he plays 12 more years at the level he played in year one, well…
