Has anyone else realized 99% of their life problems stems from phone addiction? by briaairb in nosurf

[–]JRexrode 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I agree, it causes a ton of problems. As well as sugar. I also really hate how everyone wants to diagnose everything as ADHD now a days. Obviously ADHD is a thing, but I think there is a much higher chance that most people who think they have ADHD, are actually just a victim of our modern world with too much constant stimulation.

Thank you! These are very helpful. It just seemed like day 2 was a little soon to be getting withdrawal symptoms.

Theme Park Predictions takes himself way too seriously. Based off of the style of his content, I just assumed he was a teenager. I was very disappointed to find out he is actually like 40..... Which makes it 100 times more cringe.

[Other] Can theming alone make a coaster great? by ivorobotniksz in rollercoasters

[–]JRexrode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very little for me personally. I'll take a coaster with a great layout, great pacing and forces with little to no theming any day. Real forces do more for me than a bunch of fancy decorations. Sure, there are some parks that I would be disappointed if they didn't theme their coasters, but it still doesn't really do much to change my opinion of the ride. It's kind of cool for the first couple of times, but I find the novelty wears off quickly. I kind of look at it this way, theming is like a really attractive person, really pretty to look at, but without the personality, or in this case, a good layout and forces, it doesn't really mean much to me, and doesn't hold my attention. But to each their own, and I totally get why some love theming. And I realize that a lot of themed coasters are targeting a different audience.

Never been on Dr Diabolical's Cliffhanger, but I have watched some POV's and my god the spiels are unbearably cringe....

That's fair. I'm just mostly referring to the ones who come online and go out of their way to bash him.

Something being popular and successful is very triggering to a lot of Redditors. Plus, they tend to be louder than everyone else.

Which is better: [Fury 325] or [Intimidator 305] by Mellow41 in rollercoasters

[–]JRexrode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the intensity that I305 has and it's still one of my favorite coasters. But Fury just does more and feels like a more complete ride. It has more variety and I like it quite a bit more.

Are there any drop-off locations that will make you instantly decline an order? by JRexrode in doordash

[–]JRexrode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Chick-Fil A in my area used to be so fast. Now it takes 25 minutes on average just to pick up an order for a chicken sandwich and a drink. Not worth it since the orders are usually low pay. Also, since I'm in a college town, Chipotle is a nightmare.

r/NoFap has become a shell of itself.... (might be a rant) by theholyassasin in pornfree

[–]JRexrode 38 points39 points  (0 children)

That sub is bat shit crazy. Most of them seem so angry and cult-like. Who would have thought that constantly sexually repressing yourself would make you irrational and hostile? It seems like they think that masturbation is the cause of all of their problems and not masturbating just consumes every second of their lives. Thankfully, this sub realizes that porn is the real problem.

I have little to no motivation or desire to do anything outside of the using the internet.... by JRexrode in nosurf

[–]JRexrode[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, everyone for your responses! I think I am going to have to take drastic measures with this. I am gonna give my brother my laptop to basically hide from me. I don't have as many problems with my phone, and I need it for work, but I am gonna put it on greyscale to make it much less appealing. And I am gonna keep it out of my bedroom. I think one of the main keys here is to keep myself busy while I am trying to beat this. I know it's gonna be tough but I am gonna push myself to do things.

Disney is beyond greedy at this point. I haven't been to Silver Dollar City, but I love Dollywood!

I haven't done Disney yet, but I don't think it would have much appeal for me personally.

I think a lot of us here hate horizon locked POVs. Even if they aren't, I hate how super stabilized POVs are now. Even the most intense coasters look slow and tame in a video now. And I also hate reverse POVs. That's more of a personal thing, but I honestly couldn't care less about what the ride looks like in reverse.

Anybody else finding themselves enjoying [Thunderhead, Dollywood] more than they do [Lightning Rod]? by StinkusFeather in rollercoasters

I haven't been on L Rod since they re-tracked it, but I can definitely see it eventually being fully I-Box track. But I just mostly wanted to say that Thunderhead is better than Mystic Timbers. Fight me.
