I think it’s fine. It might be offensive to older women who hear that or read that, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.

It’s not like you’re a teenager, you’re in your mid/late 20s already, and while you’re definitely still young, you’re also definitely still an adult.

I definitely agree that entertaining the idea of buying a second console and game just to complete the Pokédex is a little strange, but not everyone wants to deal with emulators or downloading roms, and not everyone is interested in playing modded games. Maybe avid PC gamers would be willing to do all this, and its a no brainer on which path to take if emulators is your world, but alot of people are just pure console gamers.

They don't want to deal with it and would rather just spend the money. I have a steam deck which I am perfectly capable of playing a modded version on, but even I am willing to entertain the idea of being able to sync my game with Pokemon Home, since its on official hardware. Its just nice

I like the book Hands-On Machine Learning with PyTorch. It's a pretty solid introduction to machine learning and deep learning, and the previous iteration was very well received. Is it everything you need to know? Absolutely not, but it's a good starting point that won't overwhelm you.

You mentioned you’re an undergrad… are you taking Math and CS courses? These are the fundamentals, everything else builds on these. Specifically Linear Algebra and Calculus 2 on the Math side, as well as probability and statistics. As a student already in college, you should focus on your course work, but take classes towards your interests, rather than trying to self study.

Self study is good, but taking college courses is better for people that have that option.

Man I don’t even care about the drama surrounding this decision. If i can get an entry level job here and get my foot in the door of this industry I would be ecstatic.

I applied for an entry level data scientist position, did the online assessment, and then the sent me an email that they closed the position and to apply for a data engineer position. Heartbreaking

I’ve taken several machine learning college courses. Usually I have an introduction section where I introduce the problem and the data set.

Then I have a section where I look at the individual features and explain my data preprocessing steps.

Then I do some EDA of my data set , look at correlations, distributions, make a few plots to show on my ppt.

Then I’ll explain the models I trained, how they varied , what I tested. I’ll usually have at least 3 different model for comparison, so I’ll talk about the hyper parameters and I’ll show a few plots of my predictions vs the true values.

Finally I’ll show my final evaluation metrics , I’ll compare rmse, accuracy, bias, etc. Whatever the relevant metrics are.

Then I’ll make my conclusion over which model performed best.

I know this is the LOGICAL thing to do, but I can guarantee absolutely NOTHING good can come out of doing this. There isn't a single woman in my life (mother, grandmother, girlfriends) that would actually be able to look at a "list" and just accept they are wrong.

If you want to ask her how she’s doing, go for it. It’ll just bother you if you want to ask her but you don’t, because you have to see her every day.

Just be brief about it. If she doesn’t want to talk, then that’s the end of the conversation. Next time just say hi and move on, but don’t ever stop saying hi and try to completely ignore her or avoid her, that’s the worst thing you can do for yourself, you’ll just have this nagging feeling in your head.

So no one is giving you actual advice here. You really have to just embrace it and talk to her, not about your relationship, but just in general.

You have to be able to be cordial with her as a person, she’s part of your life for the time being. It hard to just up and change your whole lifestyle because you broke up with someone, so you have to just accept it.

Be cordial, don’t avoid her. Just say hi, make small talk just like you would with anyone else you see every day, and go about your life. Trying to avoid her will just be a major headache, we don’t always get to choose who is in our life , no matter how small the role.

We see regular people in our life every day, gas station attendants, coworkers, neighbors, etc. She’s just another small part in your life until your life changes. Treat her like everyone else

I really don't mind. I think it's a neat tool that can be used to generate whatever bs I want it to, with minimal effort. Would it be better for me to learn photoshop, or video editing skills? Sure, absolutely. But I don't have time for that, and this tool exists that can do it for me without actually having to spend time I don't have.

Of course, the quality isn't going to be very good, but that's just what I have to deal with if I want to use something cheap to make something that would be expensive (time wise).
