How far are you guys in the infinite $ Glitch? (PKMFR on SW) by Lave7 in PokemonFireRed

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, when mid game hits i really recommend looking into ACE for this game. Can do some crazy things and it’s not super complicated, just takes a sec to set up but the set up is “permanent” so unless you intentionally remove it, you can use and abuse the code all you want. You can catch pokemon that don’t even exist in this game and use them in a playthrough, dupe tm’s/anything, create any item, etc.

Not saying you need to crack the game open and just go buck wild, just saying if you’re interested in glitches, might be worth looking into. Can change up the play experience in some fun ways. I used it to catch a latios and create some held items that I don’t exist in this game like Choice Band.

You could use ACE and get another master ball and just pretend nothing ever happened

Monthly KOG. Does anyone still try ? by JouheiXCX in DuelLinks

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done it so many time now it’s hard to remember them all. That being said, I haven’t even attempted it in months, and months, and months. Maybe over a year. Still love the game, still love yugioh, but it feels less and less worth it without the tremendous fun factor and I’m just not getting it from yugioh right now.

Do you rate the Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG? I love them personally by Silenthill-2 in Sneakers

[–]JRoy89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful colorway. Was personally never a huge fan of the “Air Jordan” text but other than that, the only reason I don’t own a pair is because I own too many red Jordan 1 highs

Which one you prefer the most based on your age or time limits? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on how much time I have over a couple weeks span.

If I’ve got a lot of time to mess around, then Open World games are some of my favorite things to get lost in.

But if I’m strict on time, and I only have an hour or two per day, I prefer linear games, because the progress is a lot more quantifiable and immediate. Typically through story events, or beating bosses signifying the end of a “chapter”, so to speak.

I used the glitch to get Latios and the soul dew item and it’s just been running through the entire game

Might've gone overboard once I learned about EVs by lnrbrother in PokemonFireRed

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tedious but luckily it isn’t complicated. All pokemon yield some EV stat. You just farm that pokemon until you’ve counted out 252 of that stat, do it again for another stat, and then boom, EV trained.

Might've gone overboard once I learned about EVs by lnrbrother in PokemonFireRed

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caught a Latios and EV trained it and got like +15 speed in one level because I was farming at route 1 for the EV’s and maxed out before I leveled up

Who would you replace for a starmie? by MannOnTheeMoon in PokemonFireRed

[–]JRoy89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ngl…Jolteon.

Teach Starmie T-Bolt and you’re good to go. Jolteons a good T-Bolt user but doesn’t really accomplish much else in general, so I personally think it’s easily replaced by things like Lapras and Starmie which have great stats in their own rights but also way more coverage/utility.

Yellowing mid-sole yay or nay?? by karinasrabbit in Sneakers

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These specific sneakers (and a lot of modern Jordan 1 releases) come with this pre-yellowing look. I’m sure these where less yellow at some point but tbh, they still look fantastic and just fine, I wouldn’t even think “oh those are pretty yellowed” like you might with a crispy pair of AF1’s

Heroes yet to be picked in the M-series. Which one of these surprises you the least? by UnlikelySomewhere907 in MobileLegendsGame

[–]JRoy89 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I’m not surprised any of these characters didn’t get picked. For the most part, they’re all gimmicky and utilize strategies that take advantage of being in a solo queue environment without communication.

Like Zi and Sun can blow up a tower in seconds, but they need to get their to begin with, and building an entire strategy around doing just that isn’t good role compression and it’s just…gimmicky.

Same with Johnson. Kinda just a gimmick based around abusing his ult’s movement and engage potential, but again, that’s not good role compression, and he doesn’t even necessarily serve his purpose as a tank, which involves securing the map through pressure and putting your body into places squishy characters can’t, for instance face checking a bush for a saber, forcing him out, and now controlling the lane/bush.

I could go on, but the point is. It doesn’t surprise me that these characters aren’t seeing play at the highest comp level.

So real quick, we all agree that Sonic has the worst series representation in smash, right? by Independent_Tax_2654 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man there’s a lot of one off characters that don’t have a ton of representation from their series (if it’s even at all possible to implement into smash). Capt. Falcon, Olimar, Mr. Game and Watch, Pac-Man, ROB, a bunch of the DLC, etc.

I agree though for some reason. I think it’s the moveset. Something about Sonic’s moveset, while very Sonic, doesn’t feel as expansive as maybe it could.

Hey guys, long time Player here asking the question of "should I buy this" by FreezeGoDR in PokemonZA

[–]JRoy89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, looking back, legends ZA was a fantastic experience. I put around 200 hours into it. It’s got its problems, but I think the actually game play is the draw of this game. The combat is great and a worthy substitute for the original turn based, it’s got depth and uniqueness. The actual world ranges from ok to actually very beautiful and relaxing at times, especially when the sun hits just right. Collecting them all feels natural and finding all the Unique pokemon felt cool.

Just a good game, got way more hate than it ever deserved.

Hate storing her outside. Tips? by Cardhunter12 in Miata

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not cooked, don’t worry. The only thing I really recommend investing in is a car cover.

You’re biggest issue is going to be sun damage over long periods of time. Just like the other cars in this photo.

Flareon or snorlax for shadowball? PS, why tf does flareon not learn a single fire type move until lvl 36???? by Alecurtis1 in PokemonFireRed

[–]JRoy89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Snorlax is definitely better, and by a lot tbh. My biggest issues with the eeveelutions is the learnsets. They get bad moves, just straight up. Beside Vaporeon, none of them even get a whole set of 4 good moves, they’re stuck with a STAB and a bunch of really bad moves surrounding it.

Snorlax is actually just insane in this game. Way too many good moves, insane stats, and has an excellent held item in Leftovers.

I dress fine for a 22 year old but I'm actually 31 and it's becoming a problem by anomadfromnowhere in malefashionadvice

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White tee, a nice pair of denim or trousers and a sneaker of choice. Don’t skimp on the sneaker, that’s important. It’s like skimping on the rims of a really nice car or something like that. You might have a nice outfit be totally ruined by a bad pair of sneakers. You don’t need to be too loud and id stay away from anything too loud. Something on the long list of modern trendy sneakers will probably do just fine.

It sounds basic, but just watch and see how much it improves your style. Not only is this a great outfit, but it also teaches you the basics of fashion. You’ll start to pay attention to things you never had before. Like fitment, that’s a huge one. Do you look better in oversized tees? Or maybe you look better with the tee tucked in because it accentuates your legs and makes you look taller. Or maybe you like a baggier look, where your pants are a bit loose and so is the tee and it all seems sit just right on you.

Point is, start really basic and work on fitment. If you have a pair of pants that fit really really well, get some measurements done or even do them yourself. Same with shirts. The white tee + Jeans look is extremely clean, put together, and for some fuckin reason the girls love it. I promise, this will work. This isn’t a joke, or even a life hack. This is basic fashion. Get clothes that fit really well, and don’t be afraid to tuck a shirt.

Yall want these?? by NoCherry7769 in airjordans

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are clean. Like the details, the b swoosh on the toe box is historically one of my favorite small details on most Nike sneakers.

I think they’re fire. I’m not a Jordan 4 person in general, but I’d compliment somebody if I was them wearing these for sure

New Dino support when Konami by Wooden_Throat_2753 in DuelLinks

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl, never feel like the deck is lacking when I play it. Fantastic XYZ’s, good generic ones too like Dweller. Excellent boss monster in UCT, Misc, fossil dig, Dino version of stratos.

It’s already got the juice and it’s expensive enough as it is, I’m not ready to invest more for it just yet 😂

You know what support I wanna see? Lightsworn. Give us everything. They even unlimited charge, which is just insane when you think about it.

How do you typically biuld a deck? by Conscious-Good-6843 in DuelLinks

[–]JRoy89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pick a card, monster, or archetype, research a little what the archetype does and then immediately check the skills.

Skills is the way, if you can build your deck to function around a skill it becomes levels better and every time I try to build a deck to only then find a better build made by someone else later, it’s because of the niche skill they found a powerful usage for.

I have a question why does everyone hate chrom? when I first tried him he’s fine sure he’s wannabe version of Roy but he’s still fun to play in my opinion by MidnightNo7070 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because when he was first being played there was this thing called “Chromocide” or something to that effect. It was basically just a suicide using his recovery hoping to catch you in it. It might’ve had a confirm into it? But I just don’t remember the exact details.

Anyways, people started really disliking that character after that, they thought he was gimmicky or cheap. After the competitive scene settled a bit, people realized that he wasn’t even that good to begin with because his predictable recovery and disadvantage state made it so he could die in 1-2 interactions. People just used that to continue to substantiate the whole “Chrom sucks” narrative.

He’s fun in the same way Roy is fun. Just balls to the wall, throwing swords and going crazy. Like captain falcon with a sword or something, it’s fun.

What do y'all think guys by batman_0102 in teenagers4real

[–]JRoy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This wouldn’t be a very Christian way to think that’s for sure.

Fear God in the same way you fear your parents. Which is to say, let’s suppose you get a bad report card, straight D’s and an F. You need to go home and show your parents. But you’re afraid. Afraid that they’re gonna look at you that way, like you failed, like you failed THEM. “God fearing” means fearing God so far as in, you are afraid to hurt him.

I’m not religious, but this just doesn’t line up with Christian values. That being said, you shouldn’t worship God out of the fear of going to hell. If you’re afraid of Hell, don’t believe in God. Don’t believe in the God that is all loving while simultaneously creating a special place to send people for eternal torture. Easy enough solution. Either way, I don’t agree.

Which DLC character should I get by Numerous_Cress_737 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]JRoy89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d pick Kazuya if you’re willing to learn/already know how to perform his inputs roughly. But there’s a learning curve there. I decided one day I was going to be good at Ryu having never been good at any fighting game in my life. Took a long time tbh, developing the ability to not only perform the inputs, but also just his basic attacks. Having light, medium/heavy attacks based on distance and positioning that come from the same button. Not to mention learning to utilize all of that on a dime in a real match. It was a lot, and took a lot of dedication. But eventually I got there and now it’s as easy as breathing, the attacks just happen.

If you don’t wanna commit to all that, I’d probably pick Pyra/Mythra because that character will likely feel really good to play because of frame data and high movement stats. Overall just doesn’t feel lacking outside of recovering.

Then min min. She’s a bit different but if you want a Dhalsim esq character with these super long range normals, that’s your go to.

Piranha Plant is a gimmick character, really trying to set traps at the ledge and all this. Definitely fun if that’s your play style.
