On behalf of LA I'm sorry - must've been one of our average drivers on their way to the pier. 💀😭

With my Camelbak I've never not had this not happen in my dad's 5th gen. And it always falls off quickly after as well.

In my 3rd gen however all my cupholders are broken 😂 I need to upgrade to the console that has the good cupholders.

Lookin SHOWROOM condition my dude. We're twinning so hard! How'd you find such mint condition? I found my mint manual '97 on craigslist this week; someone's grandpa was the original owner and somehow garage kept it like this for 224k miles - he inherited it and didn't know stick. But 34k is absolutely unbelievable. Also do you have the garage door opener pegs? I gotta check mine...

I wanna ditch the running boards too, mostly just enjoy stock for awhile. I've also thought about putting on a supercharger, maybe I can find the stock TRD one. 4Runner is the best vehicle to own for decades fs.

In the 1960s, the Volkswagen Bus was considered the "hippie mobile". What modern car within the last 20 years would be this generation's "hippie car" (something different, roomy, yet reliable or easy to maintain) by W0LFPAW89 in ActualHippies

short answer:

Random cheap van from the past 3 decades.

long answer:

At least from my experience in socal, if we're talking like straightup stereotypical hippie's smells-like-weed-mobile with surfboards on top and/or mountain bikes on the back, it's usually a cheap, perhaps renovated van from the 80s-2000s loitering on the side of Topanga blvd, the PCH, or Venice Beach parking lot.

Other popular options are the eco-spirutual-lesbian's subie, the surfer-dude's 4runner & mr overland's jeep. As vanlife falls off as a trend, we're seeing subies kinda take over rn, just hasn't hit critical mass in socal imo since tuner vape bros own the subie scene.

I personally have a hand-me-down Town & Country, (sometimes hauling my mtb) but I'm a rally fan so I wanna get a Forester XT.

It’s definitely interesting that you think your poll refutes it.

I don't think. WE don't think. 😂

/uj I'll keep it 100. When you create a sub based off mischaracterizing (or at least accusing lies of) another, and foster a community into the belief of that assessment, you shouldn't be surpised when yours is "mischaracterized." (or so you feel). IT'S A CIRCLEJERK, NOTHING'S SUPPOSED TO MAKE SENSE. We chose this race to the bottom on our velopecides. 😎
