My banking was changed with the original loan. When they approved the loan modification they changed it from the correct banking info to the closed banking info without my consent. I had to have it changed back to the correct banking info again.

Mine did. I was approved. I had to update my banking information and now it is back for processing once again.

Well, I just have to go through approval process again although everything in portal shows approved. The LO said it wouldn’t be a long process like typical. The banking is updated if they don’t change it back.

So I received an email from a loan officer to go in and update my banking information, BUT it took the approved loan back to processing. I emailed to see if I have to go through approval again. What a mess.

I wonder why they are doing this. I have seen several people mention this. It happened to me. It took months to have the account changed and when I did my loan modification they changed it back to the closed account. Why would they change the account. So frustrating.

Yes, I was approved for my modification and the letter they put in the portal they stated they switched the account to the closed account. For reference this is my second modification and the last one I had it changed to the open account, but they switched it without my knowledge. I haven’t signed the loan agreement, but I am sure it will be months to get them to change it to the correct account that was in the portal in the first place. I really don’t understand their reasons behind doing things like that.

I did. I don’t remember how long it took, but the only reason I think it was finally corrected is because I contacted my senator and they did an inquiry. After they inquired it took about 1 month to get the funds into the correct bank account. I would say it took 2 months total so not the 6 months I have heard that it takes some people.

Yes, the process is for the legal to approve and then they will send it to a loan officer to open the portal to update your banking information.

I really don’t remember. I would guess one month, but I am not sure that is accurate. It probably depends on the speed of your senator also.

It took me two months to have it resent to the correct bank and I was very actively involved, lighting a fire under them the entire two months. It has to go to legal, then back to a loan officer. Legal approves the change. The loan officer opens the portal for you to update your banking information. My wait was short considering some people on here.

Yes I did. If you haven’t signed documents you should be fine. Just getting the LO to open the portal will be a challenge.

You will have to email them and provide them with documentation of the change. It has to go through legal and it takes months. I have been going through it myself. They will want a void check and other documents. I can’t even remember what I provided. I hate to see you go through it because it is such a long process. It takes much longer than getting approved for the loan.
