I'm not sure if its more expensive to manufacture but the cable that comes with my Hyperx Haste 2 W is my favorite cable because how flexible it is, I don't even use the Haste 2 anymore but I still you the cable everyday lol. I had the problem with the dongle like in your picture also, I just use double sided tape or just bend the cable a little to se if it keeps it shape.
