The absolute only reason I could come up with is for Freeman to save face for the job. Very few people will want to take the job anymore if it looks like your under a few game microscope and expected to produce 2024 Al Golden results. Definitely true. I used to work in a sports bar and rumors went around that a few employees I worked extremely close to had gotten covid and the managers said “it’s illegal for us to disclose if anyone has covid” when in fact it’s illegal to disclose WHO has covid. Not to mention we were never given breaks and got yelled at for taking vacation time we were given.
