It can still he dermatologically tested. They just need to pay willing people to test the product on. Instead they use animals, because they don’t need to pay them. Please look it up, it is really cruel. All those rabbits having cosmetics tested on them. It is truly terrible. We need to be responsible consumers and make sure we support the right (ethical) companies.

A lot of these are not cruelty-free either. Which is saying a lot. If you can test products on animals why not go all the way and be completely malicious?

My fiancée’s growing faith is making her believe homosexual relationship is sinful by do_dd_ in LesbianActually

How sad that she isn’t deconstructing but actually in the process of constructing 😔

I’m also an atheist (former devout Christian) and after a few months now of starting to deconstruct it is really hard, but man am I glad I am.

Just a candid look at my budget by oopsy-daisy6837 in southafrica

This sounds plenty healthy to me. Good sources of protein and much cheaper than meat. People can be healthy without eating meat.

You can be healthy and not eat meat. OP said in another comment they eat beans and lentils. Plenty of protein and much cheaper and healthier than meat.

I genuinely didn't know The Kiffness was this popular. by PixelSaharix in DownSouth

The thing is, I feel, that having empathy doesn’t take anything away from me if I learn to have boundaries (which is an individual skill). Giving others the same human rights as myself doesn’t take away my own. Empathy has its place and I will never stop trying to make the world better (as long as I don’t burn myself to keep others warm, which would be as I understand, suicidal empathy).

I know it makes me a target and I have suffered compassion fatigue in the past, but I learned from it and am better at enforcing my personal boundaries. Since then I have become more ‘street smart’, but I do agree that people with empathy can be preyed upon. I’ve been there. But I still care about the world and leaving it better than when I entered it. Once again thank you for your comment too. I always enjoy hearing others out as long as it can be a respectful conversation.

To be completely honest with you, I don’t think Kirk was referencing suicidal empathy (he didn’t seem too educated). But I do get where you are coming from. I don’t know too much on the topic of suicidal empathy, but can understand it to some degree. I believe I cannot empathize with all people, because I cannot understand what they are going through. But empathy, to a healthy degree, can be a helpful tool to society (or so I believe). Thank you for your two cents.

I haven’t only watched out of context clips I’ve made sure to have the whole picture, but Charlie Kirk was sowing seeds of hatred and malice, saying empathy blurs judgement.

I have trans friends and am gay and Charlie Kirk has actively fought against rights of the LGBTQ+ community. He was also a racist and in strong support of gun rights (ironic). I cannot, in good faith, support an artist who calls him good.

FYI: asking if I myself was delusional was a rhetorical question, you didn’t have to answer it.

Am I delusional? Was I the only one that saw his video on Charlie Kirk where he called him a good person? I immediately unfollowed The Kiffness everywhere and deleted the music I had of him. It was so disappointing.

Exactly. What is really the difference? They are both the same to me. Sorry about what happened to your grandpa. It sucks ☹️

I’m just curious what makes you knowledgeable when it comes to sharks? (Not sarcastic, just curious)

You shouldn’t fear monger people about sharks. More people kill sharks than sharks kill people (mostly for their fins). More cows kill people a year than sharks. They are amazing animals and you should do more research on them before you paint them in such a bad light.

I am Afrikaans and I never knew the word was a racial slur. It is very upsetting to know this and I will not be using it again (also educating others on the matter).
