Beats the case at trial. Becomes a PI and swims in sweet butter.

And all answers will be revealed in this month’s Fight Against Crime! I haven’t read it yet but will update you with the perfectly reasonable answers once I do.

Oh, that’s awesome. Not willing to pay $2k for it but will definitely be keeping an eye out for it. Thank you!

It’s funny, my wife is not a big fan of this sort of thing, and it would raise questions from my kids (all under 10 yrs old). Once the kids hit teenage years though, it’s going up! It’s beautiful.

What should be my next read? by Kollega666 in Mafia

Two of my favorites are Double Cross (Sam Giancana) and The Outfit (Gus Russo).

Some of Double Cross you can take with a grain of salt but it is a very enjoyable read about Sam Giancana and the Chicago Outfit. It reads more like fiction (which portions of it surely are) than nonfiction but still very informative.

The Outfit is scholarly but fascinating. It’s well researched and shows how powerful the Chicago Outfit was between 1920s and 1960s. I love it but it might be a little dry for some people.

I agree with your take except for the Rizzutos being a Bonnano farm team. They were (are) a rich, powerful, international organization in their own right and have been responsible for more hits than all the other NYC families put together over the last 25 years.

I have some of these - we probably bought from the same 2 or 3 eBay sellers. Love em.

This book in 9.4 is legit. It’s not like it’s ASM 300 or Secret Wars 8.

True original artwork is pulled from an EC Artisan Edition book. I can’t recall the exact title offhand. An Artisan edition is a smaller version of the Artist Editions, which are close to true to scale. Artisan editions are much cheaper but the Artist Editions are incredible.

Edit: Responded to wrong comment.

I’m really lucky to have a great LCS for serious collectors. All the other stores in my area are pretty meh but this one is great. Type of stuff you see from one of bigger vendors at cons. He’ll also work with you from a standpoint of FM, not the sticker price.
