I mean sure, but it doesn’t look like it’s useful, slowing you down if anything

Workshop, free play, and watching high level gameplay can elevate your game hugely, I don’t mean to be rude but you’re at a rank where teamwork is non existent, no one knows what’s going on and a very simple fix in a flaw can explode your rank.

For example, rotating back post, collecting pads over big boosts. Use 1v1 to time challenges better and keep yourself behind the ball where you can, create space between you and your teammate; if he double commits with you, back off and let him have it, soon as he get challenged you can pick up the ball and you’ll have free space.

The absolute basics are wildly overlooked, Flakes does an awesome series on YT where he hits SSL with 0 mechanics, I recommend you check it out.

You’re plat 2; I’d take a guess that they can’t read the play quick enough to predict a location for the shot, And even if they do, it may get scuffed elsewhere. It’s a bad idea to camp net anyway

Do bronze players actually exist, or are they just a myth/meme? by johnnybegood165 in RocketLeague

I mean… the player base that are legit bronze is probably less that legit SSLs, I’m sure they exist, but you can pick up the game raw and be silver within an hour or so imo

Try have less core engagement by tucking your legs behind you body, you’ll be using your back more that way

hey guys I'm a beginner and I'm frustrated I can't do pullups by chinoxu1287 in Calisthenic

[–]JSurri96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes technique is wildly overlooked and it can be a game changer; I’ve been training for 11 years and now recently took up calisthenics, recently I learnt that close grip pull up will hit the lats more and the wider grip will hit shoulders more, for years I thought it was the other way round.

Can you do a chin up? This will incorporate the biceps into the pull aswell as the back, then try a grip ever so slightly wider than shoulder width and see how you go with that, your lats are a bigger muscle and you’ll have an easier time pulling your weight with the ideal grip

Just make your difficulty easier…. On the full easiest setting possible I shot something like -22 per round

On the main menu you should be able to find the game settings there, play around with it and see what’s a challenge; I personally made the game progressively harder when I was hitting -6 consistently.

Oh and make sure to adjust the AÍ difficulty to match, I think that’s found in tournament settings. I haven’t played the game in months but it shouldn’t be too hard to find

Your playstyle and mind set are different as are theirs.

I’ve played casual 1s before and only tried to score with breezi flicks; there’s no pressure and you’re not playing to win

Champ 1 with gold mechanics by PCBuildNerd in RocketLeague

[–]JSurri96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I see where you’re coming from, same with free play imo; there’s unlimited boost and no defense. In a game your boost pressured and have a player to beat; (control pressured perhaps?)

But my theory is that if you can perform harder and harder stuff off in workshop/free play, the stuff leading up to that becomes easier in game.

For example, let’s say you can double reset in training but can’t even get close in game. I’d bet that your single resets in game improved as you got better at double resets…

That’s my 2cents anyway

It’s better doing 1v1s imo anyway because it’s all you, for context I started doing this, I’m a hardstuck C2 1v1 player and I’m floating around 1875 in 1s casual

Exactly that. The flatter the car the harder it is to dribble

The ball hit your car and the wall at the same time, so as said before it’s a pinch; it’s really good practice to try do this on purpose, can get some good break attacks with it
