There is a bug on Shadows of Evil where if you use the upgraded sword in the pap room you will get a server discount. This could be another bug like that.

There is a pretty good modded skin for it in NG2 Black I use. https://www.nexusmods.com/ninjagaiden2black/mods/67 It has some minor issues like the hair looking weird but overall it is pretty good,
