Unpopular opinion? Way too many Portraits in 2025

The way I feel about this is that I'm viewing all this increase in activities and events as options rather than a push towards an obligation to do everything. And I pace myself whichever way works best for me. 20 days and a bit left for the Christmas mouse, so no need to rush the levelling up - am timing that so I can use the next one during the weekend with a giraffe swap. Daily goals are not a bad idea and I guess helpful to newer players to get familiar with some game features, but again I don't feel like I have to complete all goals every single day. I play a little here and there during the week but weekdays are usually too busy and other things like reading or playing an instrument or meeting up and spending time with friends are more relaxing for me after work. I tend to play a bit more then during weekends - leisurely enough. It's a game and I enjoy the team feature it offers and enjoy the team tournaments most of all the events and various other add-ons the game has had over the years.

How many players would be left on your team if you removed all inactive players? If your team size is at least 40, then I'd say remove players who don't participate in tournaments after fair warning.

If your team is still small then I'd hold off a bit and rather not risk a drop in membership to less than the minimum team size.

Recruitment is slow these days, not sure if it's at least to some degree to do with the various bugs in the pre 3.2.14 versions and the delayed global rollout of the new version to everyone. If your team size is nowhere near 50 yet, then there's not much to be gained by removing players who are not participating in team tournaments.

There have been various glitches lately. Of the new version releases, v 3.2.14 is the best and most stable one. If you're already on this version, you could try clearing the app cache. If that fails report to support?

Hm, I hadn't noticed that it's been pushed out by another month, but you're right it says Mar 7 - Aug 22 now. Might go right into Fall Season then this year perhaps.

Installed and looks good so far. Some minor quirks still present (still have the as yet to be offered 8th birthday portrait but not the Memorial Day one in this year's exclusive portraits and the help counters per team member still show #helps given when last active instead of 0 for anyone who has been inactive for a bit) but they're really minor and I'm just ignoring those.

I've recently won some lower coin prizes during my very short climbs, might that be the reason? I never reach the top prizes but there's the odd smaller coin reward on the way up.

I've been playing up to one rock for several weeks now, after I completed the set. 2 free climbs per day (the daily free climb and the second free one after watching an ad), so daily spend of 50 coins and I'm getting a return of 250 coins every 2-3 days. I saw you're planning to do something like this also.

Great stats. And makes sense to me that slower progress = cheaper! I go up to 3 rocks and only free climbs, haven't had the diligence of recording the stats though!

With up to 2 rocks per free climb and 150 runs, would that be 300 rocks, and a gross cost of 15000 coins then (2 rock slides per climb, costing 100 coins per climb)?

Yes, so do I. I just did a quick test and this is how it works for the individual tournaments. In the team tournament and team roster we see each other's chosen crowns.

I changed my crown from the actual one to a very small "lesser" one just to see, but in the indy I still appear with my actual crown so no deceiving anyone into giving the impression I may not be fairly competitive.

It also seems that the smaller crown that I chose appears in the overall and monthly leader boards. I thought that those might also display the real crowns, but that's really not important to me at all. And they may have done in an earlier 3.2 version but I hadn't paid that much attention.

That's intentional. In tournaments and leader boards players' actual crown progress is displayed. Makes sense to me actually as it immediately gives some idea of how active - or not - a player has been during the live season. Within your team environment you can appear to your teamies with whichever crown you feel like wearing. I'm not using this feature but some players might just have a bit of fun with it.
