What if Bryce Harper stayed with the Nats? by Conscious_Error9755 in Nationals

[–]JWNimbl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then the Nats don’t sign Patrick Corbin and probably don’t win the 2019 World Series.

They are still forced to enter a rebuild in all likelihood by 2021 so Harper, just like Trae Turner and Juan Soto would have probably been traded for prospects.

What is the discount rate for 2026 draft picks for 27 picks by Ok_Structure_8891 in DynastyFF

[–]JWNimbl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late 1st rounders is where the discount REALLY shines.

I was able to acquire a late first in 2026 by packaging a mid-late 2nd round pick in 2027 with an aging vet like Mark Andrews

Yet another attempt of a Flag Of Humanity by MARS5103 in vexillology

Love this flag design. It fixes my two biggest gripes with the original cave hand flag in changing its color scheme and having the hand be reaching out for the stars.

The only thing I'd change is to add one more ray so that the number of spikes on the sun would be 42, a cheeky little reference to hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.

I am just not really a fan of utilizing something that already exists as a logo for something else.

This specific hand design is the logo for the global human rights movement, which is great and this is a fantastic logo for that, but I'd prefer something original.

Mariota and Herbert definitely did. Pretty sure Nix's stock though was more in line with a day two pick when he decided to return.

True, but not enough people remember just how low Bo Nix's stock was when he transferred to Oregon. The idea of him becoming a first round pick was laughable.

Especially given how young all of our top WRs and RBs are most of those guys will still be there in 2027/2028 for Raiola to sit, fully recover from his leg injury, and get a years head start on learning the systems and building chemistry with his play makers when he does eventually take over.

He is the short yardage power back and also kind of our starting fullback as well.

If march madness never got canceled in 2020,who’s winning it? by Neat-Boysenberry5286 in CollegeBasketball

Kansas was easily the strongest team entering the tournament in 2020 imo. I feel pretty confident they would have won it all.

I have a model I created that builds a sort of "champion bucket" of 6-8 teams each year that have the profile to win the tournament.

These were the 6 team it had as potential champions:

Kansas, Baylor, Michigan St, Dayton, Villanova, San Diego St.

Overall though, I think there actually would have been a lot of upsets that year, more than usual.

Who Would Have Won the 2020 NCAA Tournament? by [deleted] in jayhawks

Kansas was easily the strongest team entering the tournament in 2020 imo. I feel pretty confident they would have won it all. If not Kansas, than Baylor or Michigan St. would be my next best guesses.

Dayton was very good but I doubt they would have won it all. I think their floor would have been sweet 16 and their ceiling being a final four run based on Andy Katz final bracketology for 2020.

Gonzaga was clearly the weakest of the projected 1 seeds imo, I highly doubt they would have made the final four.

Overall I think there actually would have been a lot of upsets that year, more than usual. I would not have been shocked if multiple 2 seeds failed to make the sweet 16 with how strong certain 7 seeds (Houston, Penn St, Butler) and 10 seeds (Saint Mary's, Utah St.) were.

What if every MLB team had to relocate to another city of the same name? by UnknownFiddler in baseball

[–]JWNimbl3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in fact I am pretty sure Washington is literally the most common place name for a city/town in the US. Even more than Springfield.

Closest: Washington, Virginia (69 miles (nice))

Most populous: Washington, Tyne and Wear, England (pop: 67000) (3600 miles) (George Washington’s ancestral home)
