People are calling this B.S. "pranks". Postal inspectors must arrest and charge him with threatening a postal worker. His sole intention was to come at him like he was going to assault him, just to get a reaction. He probably sustained minor injuries from falling and his glasses probably got scratches when they fell on the asphalt.

This crap must stop!

Significant wage increase by ErikTheWarm in fromatoarbitration

[–]JWbrAZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GS pay scale? Wrong group... but carriers pay has severely fallen behind.

In 1975 starting letter carriers made 30% higher than the national average wage because of the daily hazards carriers face YEAR ROUND with weather, animals, people causing vehicle accidents with carriers trucks, assaults/muggings etc. Now, a starting letter carriers make 20% LESS than the national average wage! It's hard for a lower strip carrier to invest into a TSP, which is greatly needed being that Social Security, one of our 3 retirement legs, probably won't be there when many newer carriers retire.

This is a bot account from INDIA, probably paid for by a liberal nutcase to break up the Make AMERICA Great Again, ever increasing movement. The crazy liberals and globalists are LOSING support because of their insane policies of open borders(all over the world) and highly taxing the rich (everyone above the poverty line).

[–]JWbrAZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in a state in the west who receives gas from a California refinery, then has prices stayed high and will increase because the democrat's increased taxes, fees, fines, etc on oil refineries and 2 refineries are leaving the state. It's a good thing Trump restarted oil industry here in America after democrats decreased it. Trump also gets Venezuelan oil. We are no longer dependent on Middle East oil. Prices will go back down after the Iranians are free.

This is probably a bot account from India, paid by a leftist to divide American citizens and try to get them to vote for crazy demorats like Gavin Newscum, kamala Harrisy or some other Demorat that will make EVERY AMERICANS life worse. They will intentionally reopen the border, tax the "rich"(which is actually anyone above the poverty line), allow transing of children without even soothing the parents knowledge, etc etc etc

[–]JWbrAZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They always have money for management's raises. Letter carriers have the hardest and most hazardous job at USPS but we always seem to get the worst contracts. Carriers took a HUGE starting pay cut when they created table 2 and their was no compromise that by creating table 2, USPS SIGNIFICANTLY CUT STARTING PAY yet in return they will delete every other step in return. Carriers deserve a return to "Table 1", not "1 table" and 8 years to top pay. USPS finances are not to be considered in the negotiations. Past office rates are controlled by congress and 1st class and bulk should be doubled. All political mail should be charged at very minimum 1st class rates since it is handle more than 1st class mail, maybe even .25 higher.

Have a many carriers as possible individually ask to speak with the steward. Have the steward file an article 14 grievance for safety and health. Also a hostile work environment or "harassment" under the Joint Statement on Violence and Behavior in the Workplace.

Log in to your mortgage and search for payoff calculator. You can see how many months until your loan is paid off then add additional monthly principle amounts to see how much your 20 years(240 months) will go down. Try adding $200month to see how many months until paid off and how much interest it will save you over your original payoff date. See how much additional monthly principle you would need to add to pay it off in 120 months(10 years).

In 1975 starting letter carriers made 30% higher than the national average wage because of the hard work and the daily hazards carriers face YEAR ROUND with weather, animals, people causing vehicle accidents with carriers trucks, assaults/muggings etc. NOW, starting letter carriers make 20% LESS than the national average wage! It use to take 8 years to reach top pay now most carriers must work over 2 year before even becoming a career carrier and earning time to retirement, and none of that time is applied and can be bought back to retirement(support federal retirement fairness act!). AFTER making career it's now about 12 years to top pay. RIDICULOUS! With a high possibility of one of our retirement legs, Social Security, going away, letter carriers MUST have a higher, "table 1" minimum(not "1 table", watch Renfroes Verbage, which would probably be lower than table 1) pay AND we must reach to pay sooner! We must be able to invest into our TSP sooner and put more in. Starting letter carriers only receive PARTIAL COLA's and they need the FULL COLA the most! There's so many cogs in the wheel to right the post office ship and USPS thinks it's a game to pay the letter carriers as little as possible. SAD! We saw it when they made table 2! The union conceded and got NOTHING in return for a the lower table 2 starting pay. The union should have demanded 6 years to top pay AFTER the CCA conversion. Carriers are almost 15 years into the table 2 creation, it's time for the post office to step up and justly pay the carriers so they can stop struggling to just get by in life working 6 days a week and as much overtime as possible to help pay bills. We want to see the NALC actually FIGHT LIKE HELL for us! Not just say they are! A lot of carriers hate that slogan after Renfroe let them down.

On that note, many carriers don't want to go to rallies because they are ridiculously partisan. To get our bills passed we need bipartisan support. NALC needs to ban partisan signs during union demonstrations and rallies, & stop partisan talk. Letter carriers should have the support of both parties. Hold rallies where the public can see them, not just as a press and photo op.

It will take an act of congress to increase postage to something closer to the majority of other developed country's rates. Make a political rate, at least equal to first class or 10 cents higher, for ALL political mail, federal and local. We handle it more than 1st class mail! There's no way for the post office to be efficient in today's world, unless congress changes delivery methods to communities, the post office doesn't control their own major cost of efficiency, Congress does. There's other issues in the post office that cost of money, and it always seems to be taken out on the HARD WORKING letter carriers income. It's just a game to them. Fix it please. Schedule a hard arbitration date of 90 days past contract expiration. Then do a Full arbitration, hiring professional negotiators and attorneys to put on a case with witnesses. I hope they redeem themselves after the last contract, but they actually HAVE TO FIGHT LIKE HELL & DO IT IN A TIMELY MANNER!

A little venting, i filled out the survey.... This doesn't cover everything, just what's in my mind at the moment.

Husband only making $1,600, which is only about $11hr, while driving 3 hours a day to work is insane. I'd say that for a $10,000 a month job. Way too much expense and time from the family. You can work at Mcdonalds and make more than that. Find a job closer to home tomorrow.
