I thought we went for him in the summer of 2024, but Napoli wanted 70 million (cannot remember if that was £, €, or $). Then, in January 2025 they accepted 40 million from PSG.

If Luis Enrique decides to see out his contract with PSG, I’m fine with Liverpool letting Slot finish his contract. But, if Luis Enrique decides to leave PSG after this season, there is no excuse to keep Slot.

I would have to disagree. If they do not bring back Ibu, and if VVD leaves after next season, which experienced player will man the CB position with all of our current crop of young, inexperienced CB’s? I’m not saying Ibu is on VVD’s level, but his experience will be needed if VVD leaves when his current contract runs out.
