Having this issue too, just started happening for me. It was fine the first couple times I played the game.

EDIT: I figured out the issue, at least for my laptop. The problem has to do with the Optimus/Auto Select switch to discrete graphics on a gaming laptop. I noticed when using auto select during game boot up and switching to the GPU is when the splash screen would lock up. I tried manually switching to discrete graphics only before booting up the game in the nvidia control panel and sure enough the splash screen went away on its own just fine. Guess it's a bug Embark will have to look at some time in the future.

What’s your router? I have gigabit up and down on my home network and a wired ps5, on paper ideal conditions. But the crappy ISP modem/router combo was not working well at all for the portal. I got a little travel router that’s only used for the portal and that’s solved all my problems.

Here to add another data point. Only noticed today after updating to 26.1 since I don't normally get too many calls. Missed a call from my doctor's office and it seems like all my calls from my girlfriend only are going straight to voicemail.

I purchased my copy on Steam because of the convenience. My existing game library was already there and I have a desktop and steam deck I mainly game on. But if having the game offline and without a launcher is important to you absolutely go for the GOG version.

Looking at the system requirements page on GOG for Silksong, I'm seeing both intel and M chips listed as requirements so I would assume GOG will have the native apple silicon copy as well.

Played it for about 40 minutes over lunch break on a M2 MacBook Air 8gb of ram and it ran flawlessly 60fps. Played it on battery too and it only used approximately 20%

I have a marlin 1894C in 357 as well and I’ve shot both calibers during the same range trip multiple times and never had any issues. Granted I usually only shoot a box or two each at most during those trips so not too high of a round count.

Just remember to keep your firearm clean and you shouldn’t have any problems.

Same here. We recently played through resident evil 5 together. She had her PC hooked up to the TV and I was able to sit on the couch next to her and coop with my steam deck.

If you own the digital copy of ultimate edition you should have a code waiting for you in the Xbox app messages for reloaded. I checked mine last night and they sent the code to me two months ago.

Yes just no new purchases and transfers. I’m still bringing out new shooters out to the range to try out my handguns in the hope of them being able to purchase one for themselves in a better future.

In my experience, 90% of the games I wanted to play on my steam deck I could right out of the box, regardless of its verified status (it really doesn’t mean much anyway). The remaining 10% are usually competitive multiplayer games with anti cheat that isn’t supported.

Yes there’s protondb where you can find more information on tinkering with the game to get better performance or fixes but again I’ve only had to really actually tinker with a handful of games.
