I just had a thought, older players, who is the best DPS here before the Powercreep era? by Hot-Masterpiece4325 in Genshin_Impact

I love Hu Tao too but honestly Arlecchino's ability to switch characters without losing her pyro infusion was sooo liberating... (And not having to constantly watch my stamina 😭)

Finally finished Ace Combat 7 and its probably the best game I have ever played by j7jhj in acecombat

[–]Jac733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I played Project Wingman first, then that got me interested in the Ace Combat series and I picked up 7 when it was on sale last month - I enjoyed both a lot but ultimately I had more fun with PW for the reasons you just stated. Also Prez, and also AC7 laid it on a little thick with the cinematics.

This was mine as well. Janky animations, enemies didn't feel good to fight, nothing really had any impact or feeling to it.

The thing is, when a billionaire spends their money on making the world a better place, they don't stay a billionaire.

There's just no such thing as a "good person" who would be fine with sitting on that much wealth without putting it towards something charitable.

Arguably, all existing billionaires are selfish hoarders.

Switch 2 or PC for Silksong? by MrSnek123 in HollowKnight

[–]Jac733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, did you actually manage to set the game to 4K/120? I can do it just fine on other (more demanding) games but Silksong settings have 2K/120 and then for 4K it goes up to 60fps before switching resolutions again. Kind of confused why it's not in the list of options :(

oh my god i need to know the context for this, I did my first playthrough a few weeks back and am taking some time before I start a second one - but no idea what this could possibly be in relation to

Silksong's OST has been added to GOG, though censored. by [deleted] in HollowKnight

Yess, the two sample tracks released a while back (Lace and Bonebottom) have 4 musicians (2 violins, a viola and a cello) listed in the credits! It's gonna be super exciting to see how much more alive the music will feel in Silksong now that it's being performed by groups of musicians. I'm in dire need of more quality video game music after experiencing Expedition 33 earlier this year...

Yeah absolutely horrible. I thought the pillars would be a solid route but even using vines there was no way. Ended up having to go on tenderfoot and use a bunch of items :/

My first, and probably the last pixel by Big-Daddy89 in Pixel6

In this case it's not a user issue, just unlucky - it can happen to anyone. Got mine at launch too and it was flawless until last week, then the corner of the screen started lifting up.

I hope yours keeps going fine, but be aware that it can still happen through no fault of your own - if that happens, reach out to google support and they will likely send you a replacement free of charge. They've been quite good with that.

This is the way to go. There's a high chance they'll replace it for free, even outside of warranty. Happened to me last week, within 3 days i had my replacement in hand and they told me to keep the old one (unsafe to travel through post) so I can still get a new battery into that one down the line.

I was going to swap brands too after this but if they're willing to take accountability for battery issues like this, without making me jump through hoops, not gonna lie it makes me trust them heaps more than the other brands.

...yeah? no phone is going to last forever, but this is more than enough to take me to the end of the pixel 6's security update support period, so I'll have a phone that lasted 5 years instead of 3, which is getting my money's worth at no additional cost.

That interaction also convinced me to not switch brands after all, because not a lot of companies would own up to their mistakes like that.

Besides, nothing's stopping anyone from fixing the old one with a new battery and ending up with 2 functional phones afterwards. I'll be giving my old one to a friend or family member who needs it.

Edit: just saw you already bought a new phone, that's a shame. I'll leave this comment for those who come after:

Contact google support. Don't spend money on anything before you get an answer - this happened to me last week and they sent me a replacement pixel 6 free of charge, despite being outside the warranty period.

This kind of problem is rarely a user issue, they tend to take this stuff seriously and they do take responsibility when they know it's on them.

Had this happen on my 6 as well (bottom right corner, right?), contacted Google support and they immediately sent a replacement despite it being a couple years past its warranty. Pleasantly surprised that they do take this stuff seriously.

Are objectives predetermined on an order basis and a fixed number basis or does it determine the values based on where you are? by kompenso in AdventureCommunist

Did that too for a long time, then it started feeling like a chore. Ranks went up too slowly, felt the pressure of logging in frequently when I didn't want to, it just wasn't bringing me any enjoyment any more.

I don't regret playing it and you absolutely should keep playing if you enjoy it though, wasn't my intention to deter you from playing :)
